I loved this place. The view from the patio is beautiful if you love the water like us. You can see out to Lake Michigan or down to Lake Charlevoix, with boats passing by and the Bridge going up and down. The boats can be loyd at times, but we didn't mind. I overheard others complain. The food was excellent, as well as the service. We had the Escargot, Lobster Fusseli and oak planked whitefish (posting pics). It was all delicious. Great portions. It was a great end to our day.

Delicious food and drink. Food service. Great atmosphere. But outside it is really noisy from traffic going over the bridge.

The fish and chips were spectacular and the service was prompt and friendly! We had a great seat out on the deck and got to watch the bridge raised and lowered several times over the canal. All in all, a very enjoyable lunch.

The asparagus was perfect. Crab cakes were mediocre. Morel bisque was great if you enjoy morels. The outside seating watching the drawbridges was enjoyable. Attentive table service. Fast seating.

We walked into the Weathervane, waited our turn to request seating, we were told to give her five minutes, a couple that came in ten minutes after us was seated. The hostess finally came over and asked our name, we gave her our name and told her she hadn't asked for it before. She turned around, walked away and ignored us for another ten minutes. We got up and nicely walked out and up the street to a FABULOUS meal at a place down the street called Scovie's Gormet--there is no doubt in my mind that the food we had was far superior to the Weathervane and the service was stellar--as it was not in the Weathervane.
