Took the ride that went under "Big Mac" which was really lots of fun. Helpful staff, i sometimes have a had time walking and a gentleman in a cart saw me and drove me out to the boat.

Great service. We kayaked to the island at a terrible time without our wallets--they brought us and our kayaks back and let us pay on the mainland. Their dock is pretty close to the edge of town (on the island), so it's close if you need to carry your kayak there from halfway along the south side.

It was a great day to go for the boat to get us to Mackinaw Island. Warmer weather(other than 44 degrees) would have been great. Busy place, nice people, and the horse and buggy ride was great! The young lady that took us on the tour was so informative and really loves her horses and lives on the island. Great place to visit.

Don't pay for the valet parking. Wasted 10 dollars. Sent text 45 minutes ahead of time. Got there had to wait nearly 40 minutes because t hey lost my keys and my vehicle! Got my vehicle with large area of passenger door spit on with tobacco chew. They tried to claim it was bird poop but that's a seriously talented and sick bird to be pooping that much Tobacco chew on lower passenger door panel. 👌👌👌 they didn't offer my money back either. Next time I'll be sure to spend my money at sheplers ferry instead.

Over the 30+ years that I have been visiting Mackinac Island I have road all of the ferry lines many times and after all this time Star Line has always been my favorite. The thing I like most about them is how genuinely friendly their people are. They always have gone out of their way to make my trip experience good and they are happy to converse with me. Just recently I took my Nephews and Nieces to the Island and for a trip on the pirate boat. The captain of the Catamaran let them visit him and the crew in the pilot house of the boat. It was a real nice addition to the trip and certainly a life time memory for them.

We paid ahead of time for 'valet' service. Turns out it just means they park your car in their lot, leave keys on your dash and you have to go searching for entire lot for your car. Have fun lugging your luggage all the way down the lot to the other end to your cat. Hopefully nobody steals your car while you were away!

Better off parking for less and take a shuttle service. You at least get picked up to be taken to your vehicle.

Parking is very confusing. We parked in the premium dockside which is nearby but then saw the free parking across the street. Also, arrived at 10:45 for the 11am ferry which ended up leaving right at 10:45, so had to wait for the 11:30 ferry. Shepler's had more departure and return times but apparently no close-in parking. No communication on the delays or which time boat we were getting on.

We recently took our horses round trip from St Ignace on the Heron. The captain was great. He was caring and led us through the entire procedure. The entire staff made it very comfortable. We have told many of our friends about our experience. Thanks all!

We got in line for the 12:00 ferry that never came. At 12:10, we were informed that Starline was pulling another ferry from St. Ignace to take us over, and that it would be here in 15 minutes. We waited in line for an hour before a boat showed up. Once we finally got on the boat at 1:10, we took off only to have to turn around 5 minutes later due to technical difficulties. It took us an hour and a half to finally get to the island. The ride back consisted of the exact same nonsense. It was frustrating that we were lied to about when to expect a boat. Honesty would have been appreciated from the workers at Starline.

Ferry out to Mackinac Island went smoothly but the return ferry was close to 35 minutes late. Delays happen but there was no communication whatsoever from staff. Luggage pickup was also poorly communicated. Staff were friendly throughout though.

Spent one evening on Mackinac Island and used their valet service. Our baggage was treated with care on the way to and from the island. The hotel that we stayed with did not tag our bags properly; fortunately an employee at baggage claim quickly helped us identify where they were so we could quickly be on our way. This is a precision operation and I highly recommend it!
