A great hike for all. If you go during or after November make sure you wear boots. Boots not required at first but as you go far farther up you will be glad you brought them. Gorgeous views and bringing dogs is an added plus!

Expect a rocky hike up to the glacier, but when you get there it is breathtaking. The glacier itself doesn't seem very large (at least from what we could see from the immediate area), but the views of the mountains behind are stunning. Looks like the trail continues past the glacier as well. There is a $5 drop box for parking, so bring exact change. There is an outhouse in the parking area for public use. Great hike/experience if you are visiting Denver and don't have enough time to make it out to rocky mountain national park.

What a gorgeous place!!! Dress warmly, with layers. For it's quite windy on the short hike. Well worth the cold though.

Great place to bring kids or dogs. there are really awesome places to explore, and you can hike the glacier and go right over it as there is another peak right behind it, with an awesome meadow. Due to elevation i would return in the later summer months. Too much snow everywhere to explore everything. Love this place and all the views it has.

Absolutely beautiful. Colorado native and still blown away each time I visit. Cool little hike up to the base, incredible water front with views for days. Close parking and even bathrooms if you need. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to enjoy Colorado’s unique scenery. Check it out!

Great hike with a fantastic reward after getting up a fairly rocky trail. $5 dollar parking fee. The lake is spectacular, the views are amazing and the action up on the "glacier" is always fun to watch, with skiers and snowboarders trying to navigate the icy snow left on the mountain.
I wouldn't recommend this hike for older people who aren't in shape, people with weak legs, and/or out of towners who get winded easily. It's not a long hike by any means, but it's rocky in some parts and usually pretty busy on summer weekends. If your out of towners are in good shape, it's a good CO experience for them as they will get winded and realize they aren't in mountain shape yet.response / report this review -

Excellent hike. You do about 1000 ft elevation in .8 miles to get to snow. I love this hike for visitors as it's close to Denver to get gorgeous views, a lake, year round snow. $5 parking fee as it's private land.

Hiked in July 2017. Beautiful lake with great camping spots. You can slide down the glacier. Awesome views, but steep hike if you go up the glacier. Get there early because it does get crowded later in the day.

Saint Mary's was a moderate hike that any traveler in the area should see. So beautiful and worth the climb!

Great place - sometimes you can catch skiers on the glacier or people diving off the rocks into the lake!

Wow! What a great day. The hike was no too bad and we are still getting used to going up that elevation. The view was worth it. Lake was frozen and fun to walk across. Met great people and pups.

Short hike that's worth visiting multiple times throughout the year to see how it changes with the seasons. Good places to explore once you're at the top. Great place to bring visitors from out of town!
