Lots of activities, specially if you have children. Depending on how is the weather, you may either ski or bike. There is an indoor pool that I wish was heated, but still a good option. There is a great view of the Rockies at sunset. I recommend!
I attended YMCA of the Rockies/Snow Mountain Ranch to attend a family wedding. The service from the get go was fantastic! We spent 3 nights in one of the three bedroom cabins on property and it was a great experience! Clean and comfortable with full kitchens and a home like feel! I would definitely recommend the Snow mountain ranch to anyone staying in Granby or Winter Park!
This is such a great place! Lots of fun things.to do that kids and parents can enjoy together, beautiful views, and friendly staff. We come here twice a year or so with family or friends. Quoting my daughter's 10-year old friend, who is here for the first time - "I love this place".
Room was cozy, but everything was a bit outdated. The bed was very soft. Almost too soft, and the towels were paper thin and tiny. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, though.
This trip has been frustrating. Every oudoor activity is closed due to weather- it's 60 and sunny. I clarified before making our reservation specific outdoor activities would be available. I spoke to programs department manager after making our reservation and was assured the tubing hill was the only thing that would be closed, and other activities would be open as long as weather permitted. Now we are here, and nothing is available. I would suggest adding a banner to the website of closing dates, in advance. That's really why we came here over other properties, because of the activities our child picked out, not the accommodations. Our cabin could use some TLC. Compared to our last cabin, it is in pretty rough shape.
The front desk did call and ask about our issues, which helps, so I appreciate feeling like they care . Hopefully they can make some changes so when you make a reservation you know what will/won't be available. I was thinking this would be our last trip here, but the front desk made me feel much better about the issues, and that they would address them.
It is beautiful here, and the new park area is really great! The dog park is awesome, with all the trees and little trails. I haven't been to a nicer dog park anywhere. It's very nice to be able to let your dog run that energy off without worrying.
Great place for a fun family weekend. Have stayed in the lodges several times and have always been happy with the facilities and service. Lots of fun outdoor activities!
I am writing this review mostly to tell you to just book your wedding somewhere else. My fiancee and I toured this venue about 2 months ago and were super excited that we had found our venue and that the dates we wanted were available! we were told that it took a while to get the contracts written up but that we were officially blocked out on the schedule for our weekend. I reached out to the event coordinator Katelyn almost weekly in those two months and was reassured multiple times that we were just waiting on the contracts to be written up but "Don't worry!" Well, today we received an email saying that they needed to "clarify" and that our dates that we had been promised MULTIPLE TIMES weren't actually available. We missed out on TWO MONTHS worth of time that I could have booked another venue. Whatever you do, DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE so long as Katelyn is their wedding coordinator. She WILL drop the ball. She WILL not communicate correct information with you. You will be stuck venue-less and be forced to push your wedding back a full year.
Came here for a family reunion and have to say it is a perfect venue for that. Big conference rooms that are bookable, cafeteria style food that is actually pretty good and enjoyable, and tons of trails and activities to do around the grounds. The rooms are fairly nice, though somewhat plain and the buildings lack certain conveniences like elevators. But all in all a great venue. Astounding views!
The campus seemed quite nice. We stoppes here to play the disc golf course. The course was poorly marked and only had dirt "tee pads." But it did contain a variety of shots and did have some signs containing distance to pin and general direction to the next tee pad. It was an enjoyable course but there were many things I would change to make the drive worthwhile.
We went in June. We stayed in a family reunion lodge with 8 bedrooms and it was good. The kitchen was okay, you may want to bring some of your own kitchen gear. I spent a fair amount of time fighting a watermelon cutting it into slices with an inadequate knife. Beds were ok. Bathrooms in the bedrooms were nice but the sink was not in the bathroom. Good views, lots of activities. We went zip lining and it was good for first timers, but nothing special. The tubing hill was a blast. You go down a hill on a large inflatable tube with handles. It has a few bumps and was a lot of fun. Overall a great experience.
Mostly had a great time. There was an issue at the swimming pool. But offer than that it was great.
Excellent Family Vacation or Personal Retreat facility. Views are spectacular and worthy of life long memory. Activities and staff are excellent and make you feel important and "at home". Please make a reservation and visit often.
Great fun. Had a good time. There is plenty to do here! Sadly their equipment for skiing was all rented out for an event that they failed to tell us when we made the reservation for skiing, but we still had a blast. Great value.
