The hospital is either under-staffed or extremely inefficient. The valet parking was nice but gave a false sense of urgency- once you're hustled in the door, your trapped for hours! Almost as bad as Family Court- only staff is friendly here.
Ok so my husband had to go here, right. Well he said everyone was very nice nurses and doctor however. They let him walk out with his hand looking like this. Said they were going to clean it up then forgot. Sent him out with his hand looking like this.
Every experience at this hospital has been positive. From the occasional ER visit, to the birth of my youngest daughter, the staff is professional and courteous. I have never felt like a number or a bother at this facility.
Not equipt to take care of preemies. My sister and law and one twin is there but sent the other twin to another hospital. Absolutely ridiculous. Wouldn't let her hold twin b because baby was on oxygen. Wish she would of gave birth at Ruby in WV they would of got better care and been together. Rather than split them up.
Fantastic friendly & professional service in the ER, imaging, and other departments we've used. Very prompt and courteous.
The number of 1-star reviews is staggering to me. Most of them seem to be from questionable reviewers with no other reviews, or ones like Rose Hill who have reviewed a dozen hospitals and clinics from different areas, all with 2-star reviews.
This hospital has a lot to learn about patient care. They can't even do lab services or register a patient without making it complicated and complaining about doing their job. If you have a choice choose another hospital. Abysmal service.
First time ever in a hospital. The stay was great and the staff on the orthopedic floor was amazing.
Like any hospital, your experience can be good or bad. My chief complaint is that when accompanying someone to the hospital at 3 A.M., or waiting for several hours, if you need coffee or a bite to eat after hours of waiting, the only optiona are vending machines. I didn't have change or dollars. Hopefully by now this has been remedied and you can use a debit or credit card in the machines. The coffee shop doesn't open until 6 A.M.
It infuriates me when I read negative comments about St. Clair. They are thorough and kind and helpful. Everyone I speak to tells me the same thing. Get real. They are dedicated and knowledgeable. Come on, people, who have been there. Put in your two cents worth and even this out !
Completely incompetent staff. Was continuously lied to while everyone we meet passed us on to another department and blamed each other. Was a true amateur hour.
Recently had a negative experience in the Outpatient Registration area. they ask for all of your personal information (social security #, phone number etc) right out in the waiting room area even though there are other people working in the back. isnt that a violation of our privacy? its the same at their other locations as well, my doctors office dosen t even do that
This is one of the best community hospitals in the country. The staff are the friendliest and the care is the best (from personal experience).
The Labor & Delivery floor as well as the lactation department at St. Clair Hospital are phenomenal. We could not have asked for a better experience. Michelle in lactation has been a lifesaver and didn't hesitate to spend 15 minutes on the phone with me to trouble shoot an issue. We can't wait to go back for our next child because of how amazing this hospital is.
