They took great care of my Dad when he was transferred there. The security staff could have been a little more astute. Getting around the hospital can be a challenge if it's your first time there. But, the care and the medical staff were all on top of their game and this was definitely the best place he could have been taken to. Some of the best nurses in the head trauma ICU. A big thanks to everyone involved in helping us through what was going on. Kept us informed and were compassionate people.

The space this place takes up would have better use if it was a park. Absolute waste of money. You can tell that no money goes back into making it nicer or better.

I'm embarrassed that this hospital is under the "UPMC" name. I NEVER had issues with any other UPMC facility as I did this one. My daughter is 19 years old and had to have major back surgery. The nurses and staff on 5G have treated her terribly. I have never seen anything like it. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone nor will my family ever come back here. Not only have they been rude to her but they have neglected her care. Don't choose this hospital or allow another hospital choose this hospital for you. I regret it.

The staff was awesome at the Cath lab !!!!! The bathrooms near the Cath lab and the waiting rooms there were filthy,coffee pots gross.What happened to cleaning staff? We took pictures and complained,one room had the sheets and blankets for sleeping family on the floor stacked around a table.A nurse from the Cath lab came in for coffee came back and cleaned it herself.Very sad,someone's not supervising the cleaning staff overnight,maybe day also.

On January 6th this year I was at work and had a seizure and hit my head on the concrete and was taken to upmc. Jason L Sperry then cut me open for absolutely no reason because he claimed he was worried about internal bleeding and blood clots because my blood pressure was very low which makes no sense what so ever!!! I hit my head during my seizure and lost a lot of blood so obviously my blood pressure would be low from losing blood!!! I wake up with 30 staples going down my abdomen because of a seizure??? I have epilepsy moron!!! I hope this is you reading because I am going to make you pay for what you did to me!!! Jason Sperry is no surgeon he is a butcher!!!! For no reason should i have to live with this scar!!!

I've been to this ER far too many times for a chronic condition. Never once did I feel like I was being a burden. Never once did I have to wait an extended period in the waiting room.

to bad they dont have negative stars because I would give this a minus 5. This is the worst hospital I have ever seen. My husband was taken there, for a motorcyle accident. He was having trouble breathing and still had to lay in ER for 6 hours. They tell family members nothing, he was there four days and not one time did I see or even get to talk to a doctor. I would ask and always get told, someone would talk to the family, that never happened. They did surgery on him, and the family was not even told what they were doing surgery on. Turned out to be broken bones. (my husband told me this, not a doctor) They wanted to send him to a rest home, for a broken ankle! He refused and brought him home. No discharge papers, so we have no idea who we need to see next or even the name of the doctor.

Caroline Davis at the desk in the Family Surgery Lounge is absolutely fabulous, fantastic, cares deeply about family members and has the patience of a saint. Her sense of humor is priceless. She got my daughter and me through a very tough day. I hope she sees this review and knows the importance of her presence. Thank you Presby for Caroline.
