Well here is the story. We rented 4 snowmobiles here and those did not have any insurance on them and it was cleared out to us and we had signed the waiver as well. One of the 4 got crashed and my friend had to be taken to a hospital and got a surgery done for his broken bones. First the good thing, the guy who works here (not the owner but the snowmobile expert) was really helpful. He immediately went up the trail and got my friend safely back to the ground. The real problem here was the owner who does not care about anything but money. Knowing that my friend is in emergency care, all is care about was how will he pay for the damaged ski mobile. Even though she had all our information on file and we never denied to pay the cost. These were her exact words "If I do not get a credit card information for the remaining payment by end of day, I will move to court". Absolutely disappointed by the owner.

Mike was great and really informative. We were a little skeptical on doing an unguided tour with our group of 8 but after the run down and instructions he made us feel more comfortable about it. The rentals were great and included boots, suits, helmets which for the price was a great deal. The trails were awesome and filled with beautiful views!! Spirit Lake Snowmobile rentals should be your go to. I will definitely use them again!

I love this place. The owners and staff are simply amazing. I have stayed there along woth rented snowmobiles. The rental process is simple, the price was great, and their rules are very fair. The rooms were very clean and I enjoyed the mountain cabin feel. I have recommended many friends and family there who have experienced the same environment. We love this place! I won't rent from anyone else.

This place should be the last anyone chooses to rent a snowmobile. They'll look for anything to charge you extra for, after you've given them your credit card information.
The owner, a younger man, doesn't care about honesty and will make sure he and his workers rip every penny out of customers.
They charged my group, with 6 snowmobiles, $3,200 in damages. Including rent, the experience cost $4,000. 5 snowmobiles had the pan, a plastic piece under the snowmobile, bent inward. The repair for every one of them is to simply pop the plastic back out. They charged $250 per snowmobile for that repair.
They took 2 hours to "assess" the damages and even tried to make it seem like they were being merciful. There are plenty of other rental places for you to try before this one. Don't make the same mistake I did.response / report this review -

My family and I stay at Spirit Lake Lodge every year over New Year's weekend and we always have the best experience!! The owners take excellent care of there property and are very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, you can rent snowmobiles right at the lodge, there location is perfect and walking distance from shopping and restaurants, they are pet friendly and there prices are affordable!! I highly recommend staying here if you will be visiting Grand Lake!! We always have a pleasant and relaxing stay!!

Spirit Lake Lodge is THE place to stay when in the Grand Lake area. Great service, comfotable rooms, excellent amenities, and fantastic location in town. The staff was perfect in their assistance with information about the town and area, and finding us places to eat and have fun. It was just what our group needed after a full day of riding motorcycles from Colorado Springs. Slept great. Also, call directly to the office when booking a room to get the best rate.

This place has beautiful aspen furniture in the rooms, which are very clean as well as cozy. Its within walking distance of the restaurants and bars in town too. I love staying here, and its the only place I ever stay when I go to Grand Lake. Thanks Mike for the great experiences every time I come here!

My group of 4 of us rented snowmobiles, and rooms at Spirit Lake lodge. We were treated very well, and the snowmobiles were in Great shape.
We have usually gone to another guided snowmobiling rental in Breckenridge, for the last 5 years. Our group will always go back to Spirit Lake rental in the future. The owner, and staff were just Awesome. All in all it was a Fantastic trip, and experience.

My wife and I rented a double snowmobile today from these folks. It was our first time to go snowmobiling. Mike took great care to make sure we understood the trails. All the staff was very professional and helpful. The snowmobile was great with no issues. We highly recommend! Thanks to this team!!

We had a group of 9 riders. The rental process was really smooth and quick. The machines were in great shape and gave us limited issues. All the gear they had for us was also in good shape. Being our 1st time in Grand lake they made sure we understood the trails and took the time to answer any questions we had! What a great place to ride. We also had tons of snow.. actually too much snow if you can believe that! Only reason I gave them 4 stars is because my machine had issues with the electric start and they knew it from the start. Told me to bring it back later in the day if it wasn't working right. Just was not sure why they didn't just give me one of the other 15 sleds sitting in the lot? We will be back though!!!
