Was a walk-in for the ER Immediately got attention and they ran all tests to ensure I did not have a heart attached.
ER Nurse was great.. He truly knew what he was doing and kept me up to date on everything
I would of given 5 stars, but dealing with their record people is like dealing with Secretary of State. I signed a release form before I was discharged to have docs sent to my DR for my appointment,. Never did. Requested them while I was at my DR office Never sent. Called again and they said they were never notified and to fill out the form and send it in. AND rude/non caring on the phone.
E.R nurse by the name of Andrea is a horrible person. No bedside manner and very condescending. If she happens to be your nurse in the ER, request a different one, because she will make you upset! She also doesn't want her female patients to cover up to the point of decency during exams. Very odd behavior. Will never be going back there, because she almost made me file an assault charge!
I had a serious back surgery at Blodgett Hospital and can't say enough good about it. It is older than the other hospital associated in the Spectrum however, my surgeon's time was scheduled at Blodgett, so that's where I was admitted. I had a private room, all are private in this hospital and I remained in ICU my 5 days post op so I really had good care. My surgeon is excellent, Dr. Scott Russo and highly recommended by my surgeon up north. He said he could help me and he did !! My room was cleaned every day by great staff and the nurses, physical therapists, aids, the entire staff were very helpful, professional and terrific. My only complaint was that the food was not to my liking. This could well have been because of the nasty meds I was taking, so I hesitate to even say anything. I would highly recommend Blodgett to my family and friends.
Dr Brown and Jeff W were my surgeons and did a great job on my spinal fusion on April 7 2016, i stayed on the 3rd floor at Blodgett til the 11th. everyone was great. My day nurse Tricia was wonderful, she was very personable. everyone else was great to but i seen more of her being in the day than the others. Everyone had very good bedside manner and am glad that i came down to Grand Rapids for my surgery. Even being a little further away, i know i made the right decision for me and my health. So thank you
This hospital employs substandard doctors. Daniel J Mercier, attending in ER, is condescending, incompetent, and a shame for the entire Spectrum health system. I filed a formal complaint. Avoid this doctor! Discharged and re admitted at different hospital. Unfortunately I can not provide complete details in this short review.
