Always a great indoor mall to shop at downriver. Easy to get in and out of traffic wise. Lots of great stores and people there are nice even on the holidays.
I've been coming to this mall since the early 80s when people could still smoke lol. I remember when Shoe Carnival was Burger King and when Best Buy was the food court. I've seen a lot of places come and go. I really miss Music Land, Sam Goody, etc. I still shop here quite a bit. New shops opening all the time. T-shirt Place has everything, but they're a little pricey. Love going to Spencer's. I was disappointed when they closed down the theater but now they have Cinemark so all is good. Southland makes for a good afternoon out for shopping and to catch a movie.
Clean. Security was easy to find. Not too many hooligans running around. Many stores. Parking is rather easy to find, if you don't mind walking a little bit.
Nice mall. Clean and welcoming. The stores they do have are nice and well stocked. Macy's is a bit in need of a face lift to match the mall.
Need more clothing stores and food places inside, plenty of sneaker stores the kiosk workers are friendly this is a great mall if your coming to walk the mall with your kids or just for exercise and if you don't want to have to worry about your little ones getting lost it's never really any crowds. I come to stitch n stitch a lot to get custom embroidery on my items the guy there is very well mannered and patient and shows you plenty of ideas of different fonts.
Southland is definitely on the rise - very little vacant space, which is a big change from just a couple of years ago. It still looks a little run down and very few people get good reception inside.
Visited the JCPenny salon. Been going here for years and always get great service. Also love the clothing. Some days are busier than others but the staff are always upbeat.
It's Southland Mall, nothing more needs to be said. It's a great place to shop for just about anything and offers some great services, too! The shop owners/managers are very friendly and care about their customers!
A decent enough mall. Most of the places to shop are clothing/shoe stores. Seems to appeal more towards the teen/young adult crowd. A nice place to walk around though.
They re-did the mall a while ago. There are some better stores and the look over all has improved. I'm not a big fan of malls but this one is alright. The movie theater is now attached and there are more restaurants.
It was better in years past when the place had much better diversity. Now its 50% shoe stores. Really going downhill. I have no real plans to return.

Lots of stores. Nice movie theatre. Had done a lot of improving and upgrades. Usually a steady pace of customers. Not to crowded midst of the time. Clean facility.
Nice mall if you are in the area. There's a lot of stores nearby along Eureka also if the mall doesn't have what you're looking for. The Best Buy used to be a food court, and I really like the huge vaulted ceiling with the sky lights.
They always have sales in their stores. Good places to eat inside. Never dirty. A good experience every time. You can eat a pretzel while shopping and just have fun and hang out in the food court. You'll always find things you are looking for like a certain color of shoes. Great place to shop.
