This place has got it all. I just love markets like this. Fresh Food, antiques, home made goods, real Artisan peices, live music on a regular basis. Great place. Good fun

A city treasure. Half produce and half artisans, this covered market is open year-round with local mom-and-pops. Some stalls are fixtures (the urban farmers, the chicken sellers and butchers, the coffee stand, the Polish bakery, the tartan loom etc.), and others wax and wane to the season. Go early for the best produce and baked goods. Go later for crowd seeing and neighborly "hellos." The café in the market center is always packed, though I find the fare is nothing special. Instead, buy some coffee (Zen Café), some kifli (the Polish bakery), and a good steak, eggs, and vegetables and fruits (Unity Gardens is my favorite).

Love this farmer's market. I always try to show up pretty early, because it gets so busy. There's lots of great stands and things to buy. One of my favorites is a Chinese food stand where you get a ton of food to go for pretty cheap. Also highly recommend Zen coffee.

Fantastic produce, very good meats and coffee. There are a lot of nice boutiquey stands as well. On Saturdays, there's even a gentleman that sharpens knives you bring in! Most if the stands even accept credit cards BUT SOME OF THE STANDS DON'T, so have cash with you as well!

Lots of local fruit and veggies, interesting stuff for sale, and delicious baked goods. Not great for finding inexpensive things, but high quality.

Such a nice variety and very pleasant vendors. Corn, beans, and watermelon have been so fresh. Ate at restaurant, great service, yummy chow.

The South Bend Farmers Market is a great place to spend a lazy Saturday morning or get in early to grab n go with some extraordinarily fresh food. There's something for everyone here and all the vendors are very friendly. Not just food and not just produce (but there's plenty of that). Nice little, busy, restaurant in the middle of the market serves some good breakfast/lunch items. One detraction is that it gets very busy and the aisle is jam packed if going later in the (Saturday) morning. People will stop to talk or try to make up their minds on something and seemingly not really care if your behind them trying to get by. Minor thing but can be annoying if not wanting to be there all morning. Try the pizza place too, very good and freshly made on a smoker.

My favourite place to get groceries. Go during blueberry season to get the giant boxes of blueberries for 15 bucks! They're fresher than the ones you get at Martin's!

You can find fresh local produce, meat, dairy products, crafts and many more here. Ample parking. Great selection of onsite cooked food and bakery items. Personally like to buy mashrooms and coffee from here since they have a wide variety. Lots of sweets too.

You can always find something new at the Farmers Market. Looking for Fresh local produce, crafts, antiques, flowers, or herbs? Maybe something hot yummy and cooked on site? All available at the Farmers Market. Great place to take the whole family!! Don't forget to stop by the Unity garden booth to get some local honey (great for allergy sufferers) and support an important area cause.

I love it. All the fresh locally grown fruits and veggies are very tasty raw or cooked. Not to mention the little hand made stands with all different types of hand made things.
