Great place for families. Not great loud large groups unless you go to the back outdoor seating area. Souplantation has a great selection of food, and it's one of the few places that let you customize your own salad.

Good healthy food.. I come here with my family at least once a week and have been for the past 10+ years. The only thing I don't like is that they dont seem to have enough workers to help with bussing trays and tables. Also, the soup cups and utensils seem to be somewhat grimey a lot of the time

I love Souplantation !! They offer several vegetables, low calorie dressings, low calorie soups packed with nutrition, and a variety of pasta, baked potato, baked sweet potato, and fresh baked breads. I'm sensitive to salt so this is my "Go to" place that uses minimal sodium in their recipes.

Cheap but still very tasty! Huge salad bar and buffet with different types of food. They also give information on all the dishes if it's gluten free or not, which is a huge plus! Also very friendly staff.

This place is hit or miss on quality and cleanliness. Some days, the trays, cutlery, glasses, and plates are covered in dry old food. Some days they are not. Caesar salad is often bitter and veggies don't look fresh. Often times there is a mess at the salad bar too. Bathrooms are often times not fully stocked and there is semi-dry urine on the toilet seat. Then there's only two soap pumps, of which only one semi works. This being said, the seating arrangement in here is nice. Lots of comfy booths to sit at and an enjoyable outdoor covered patio. Convenient location keeps me coming by.

Even I, with all my food allergies, can get a darn good meal here. Got a question about ingredients - they'll tell ya. Though it's a self-service restaurant, the folks who work there are always very kind and helpful. it's also cool that they change some offerings / special 2x a month. We are loyal fans of Souplantation.

It must have been about 4 years ago (2013) when Souplantation revamped their menu and jumped on the “farm to table” bandwagon and focused more on a healthier menu. I mean a salad is a salad, but they definitely won me over back then with some new soups.
With closer Souplantations to me I had only come here twice since then, but then I started working a walking distance from here and my company negotiated a discount and that makes it high on my list of options when I don’t want to lose my close parking.
The salad’s have remained about the same as far as offerings, but they now do a togo option as do most of the remaining Souplantations around. There was a slew of closures, so I guess they had to tighten up the business model. I also read somewhere that Souplantation filed for bankruptcy protection, but anyhow, maybe farm to table wasn’t so wallet friendly.
I’m always surprised that this place is packed all the time. In the summer I kept thinking, oh the kids are out of school. In the winter I keep thinking, oh it’s raining and soup goes well with rain, but to be honest it’s just busy. Parking can be an issue, but the staff is friendly, albeit a little sluggish on the cleanup. For the most part they restock pretty well which is unlike most other locations. Actually there is a gang of kids that come here, if I wanted to have wild kids around me I’d go to Chuck-e-cheese, but I don’t, that’s why I go to bars that aren’t kid friendly so much.
The menu is fluid and some things change, but most are staples. The huge soda vending machine is cool, but can be a wait behind some kid wanted to try every soda. I sort of miss the multiple machines. The prices are fair and the food is filling and a value.
I always tell people to customize their soups, why put 15 ingredients in your salad, but not put lemon, chili flakes, green onions in your chicken soup. Think about it.response / report this review -

This is buffet fare. As far as buffets go, the food is on par with what you would expect. The variety is excellent though and it is always clean, the staff always friendly and the kids always thrilled we came here.
