My family visited this cruise from Kentucky and was not disappointed. Before entering the boat we saw dolphins swimming by the Dock. Once the boat set Sail we saw several dolphins up close and the crew done a phänomenal job explaining the history of the Island. We saw celebrity homes that were once owned by the likes of Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods. The crew was nice and friendly and welcome us with great Southern Hospitality. Tour is much more affordable than doing the same thing at Sea Pines.
Incredible experience! Captain Steve and Ron were the absolute nicest guys. They were extremely experienced and knew everything there was to know about dolphins and the area. They went above and beyond so all of us could see dolphins from every angle while giving dolphins the space and respect they needed in their habitat. I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience. These memories will last a lifetime. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
A great experience to see dolphins feeding and egrets and herons feeding on the shoreline. The boat tour lasts about one and a half hours. The captain occasionally calls out landmarks and other interesting points of interest. It was a great afternoon on the water. The boat has a covering so you are shaded from the sun. There are life jackets on board for everyone. You can bring your own snacks and drinks. I will definitely bring out of town family back for this tour.
Booked private trip for my brother, sister-in-law, husband and myself. Our first time in Hilton Head Island. Captain Craig was great. We saw a dolphin while boarding the boat. Craig assured us that it didn't count as part of the guaranteed sighting. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to get along with. We saw several dolphins and 2 eagles. Highly recommend.
We had a very nice time on the boat tour and were happy to do a private tour in light of the pandemic. The Captain, Ted, was determined to make sure we were able to spot dolphins. He extended the tour at no additional cost and even offered a complimentary in the event we did not see any. However, we did get some great views of the dolphins in their natural habitat. We would recommend this "mom & pop" tour company to anyone. We also really enjoyed Ron, his co-captain. Thanks again, Katie and Ted, for the accommodation 🙂.
It was a little hard to find where to board the boat. After you found the place, you are all set. Friendly crew and nice boat. Best dolphin cruise deal in town.
saw at least a dozen unique dolphins! Sightings began minutes into the tour!
It was an informative speaker. I did not see a whole dolphine.
Fantastic cruise! Very knowledgeable captain shared a lot of cool info about the island. Went on a Tuesday night and saw the fireworks show over the water. And of course we saw a bunch of dolphins too!
We had a lovely time on the sunset Cruise on Island Queen. The scenery was beautiful, we saw many dolphins, cranes, anhinga, osprey, and a stingray (which I could have reached out to touch). The captain and crew were friendly and shared many interesting facts about the area and wildlife. The boat was small and smooth, but big enough to walk around. Our family loved it!
After calling several dolphin cruises, my husband and I chose Sonny C based on the price, the length of the tour and the other reviews that I had readwe were not disappointed! Our dolphin cruise left the dock a few minutes late after waiting for a group who was having trouble finding the dock; instead of taking that time away from our tour, our captain kept us out on the river for close to two hours, pointing out wildlife, houses and giving us the history of the area. It was extremely educational and enjoyablenot to mention that we saw SO many Dolphins! One of the best experiences of our entire tripand it cost us less than $40. I can't recommend this place enough!
Excellent Dolphin tour. Up close and personal with the Dolphins. Small boat gets you a little closer to the action. Captain Tom rocks!!! Makes for one interesting trip. Knowledgeable and very fact finding. Kids love it too.
Awesome trip - our family of five had a great time, laughed most of the time, and enjoyed Capt. Sonny's commentary - even thought he probably gives that tour many times a day, it felt like it was his first for us. We saw plenty of dolphins, learned about the ecosystem, learned about quite a few of the homes along the waterway, etc., - certainly worth the low cost of the couple of hours. We took the 6 PM tour - great way to end a sunny day before dinner.
