Nice clean hotel. Mostly new rooms. Walking distance to downtown Coconut Grove and the marinas.

We were simply blown away. The view from the 21st floor is stunning. The gym is adequate. Get an Airbnb if you can. Coconut Grove is a gorgeous neighborhood.

The views were great, but the hotel has not been well kept. The desk and chairs in my room were extremely beat up .. it looked like they had pulled it out of a dumpster. My colleagues said theirs were the same way. The rooms were dark and not well maintained. I would have been upset had I paid the normal rate for the room.

Overall, it was great. My room was a bit on the small side, but very nice. The view was great and the staff was very nice and helpful. I was here for a conference for work and the meeting rooms and reception areas were great. The only thing that kind of bothered me was that the conference ended at 12 and that was the same time as check out. In an attempt to plan ahead, on the day before I asked if it would be possible to check out 15 minutes later so I could change into something comfortable to travel in, and they were really cagey as to whether I could or not. I ended up changing in the bathroom near the restaurant instead. Other than that snafu, my visit was pretty good and I'd recommend staying here.

I called to visit the restaurant with my 6 years old niece, I asked we'll be able to enjoy the pool, two persons said yes one at the front desk, another employee at the restaurant, even he asked me the hour of my booking. When we arrived, the pool or floor manager Lane did not allow us to access to the pool, she did not recognize it was their mistake and never offer apologies, or offer something to make us feel comfortable. Even that we were ready to order the lunch ( an expensive one) she denied the access to the pool. Totally not sense, I think they don't have an idea of hospitality and client service.

The rooms were very clean and the patio/bar/pool area was great with one of the best hotel views in Miami. The room I had wasn't huge but others in the group said they had large rooms, but either way, the bed was actually comfortable! The other great part about the hotel was that it was within walking distance to lots of great bars and restaurants.response / report this review -

Excellent experience! Very clean, perfect location in the heart if everything in the Grove and customer service impeccable! I have only one complaint, the air condition seems to go off after 10p and does not come back on until after 9a. There is a blower that stays on but it's not the same, I awaken every morning with a stuffy head.

Excellent hotel. Staff was very accommodating. Rooftop pool is amazing with a great view of the bay. Far enough away from the crazy parts of Miami that you can actually relax and get some sun.

I wanted to wait until I received my wedding pictures to give the Sonesta a review because they're so important when choosing a wedding venue.
I'll start by saying that I do not live in Miami, and planning a wedding from another state is complicated and incredibly frustrating. After traveling down to look at the venue we were eventually going to go with, I was shocked to learn it was nothing like I envisioned. Six months to my actual wedding I had to frantically start looking at places within our budget and luckily found the Sonesta. This place is absolutely gorgeous and truly truly affordable considering the city. Katie was the most helpful and patient coordinator on the planet and Marty as well. There were no "hidden fees" or costs that popped up to surprise you later on. They were extremely transparent and always there to accommodate my requests and sometimes, quite annoying questions. That area for the cocktail hour was a complete dream. EVERYTHING came out beautifully and honestly I could not believe the affordability at a moment when I thought for sure I'd be doomed to a cheesy banquet hall wedding.

Stylish hotel in a great neighborhood. Hotel rooms have great views and are in good shape. Walk to shops and dining or a quick taxi/uber to Downtown Miami. Restaurant is small but good food. Not a large hotel so won't be competing with others for health club or elevators. Great getaway location if you don't want to be in the downtown Miami area.
