  First review I've done in my life.
  
  I grew up playing this course as my parents and my grandparents were members here. Used to love this place and have spent a ton of time here. When the economy crashed, my parents and grandparents took back their memberships and the course began to decline. No big deal, happened to many places around town.
  
  We still played the course through cannongate/clubcorp and golf now. It is a very challenging course. Very narrow, and many uneven lies. I still love the layout.
  
  My friend and I teed off this past Saturday at 830. The club had a 5some in front of us. I repeat, a 5 some. Not really sure what that is. We waiting every single shot. At times we sat down on the tee boxes. Never once were we offered to play through. Golf pro driving around explained to me that the "members" tend to do that. "If it's still slow at the turn come into the shop and we'll give you a beer". At the turn, went in the pro shop not for anything free, just for something to be done so we aren't there until 130 (8:30 tee time). Again, offered half off the next time we come back. In other words, asking us to spend more money.
  
  Get to the 10 tee box. Another person joined the 5some, however they split them into 2 threesomes. Both ahead of us. I guess, because they are members and we aren't they didn't honor our tee time. As the back 9 went on the marshall avoided us 2 times. Literally drove through the woods twice so he wouldn't have to pass us. We finished at 1:40. My first 5+ hour round.
  
  Hate to see this course struggle because we as a family, have been long time customers, however the struggle is obvious and I completely understand why. The way they handled us was pathetic and cowardly. I'm embarrassed I sound like a complainer but take your tee time somewhere else. No price is worth it.

  An often overlooked track in Atlanta. Staff is friendly and course is well maintained, with a challenging layout. A great value in the $30-40 range.

  Great hidden gem over in the Smokerise community in between Tucker & Stone Mountain. Always in good shape. It's a good test with some shorter but tight par 4s. I forget about it sometimes. But since it's fairly close to home, I'll be over there more often!

  We are new to the country club and thought we might feel a little out of place there. Boy, were we wrong. It is very welcoming and "homey". There is a wonderful deck overlooking the golf course where you can sit and have a glass of wine after a hard week.
  Food is delicious and staff are relaxed, friendly and efficient. The pool and gym are wonderful and uncrowded. You can have lunch at the pool.
  A great place. Wish we had joined sooner.

  Tees and fairways are dormant but the greens are fantastic and FAST. Great layout.

  Hilly, love the challenge. Take a cart. Greens are nice. A lot of blind shots. Just can't pull the driver out a bang it. Bring extra balls
