We went because they claim they are the oldest restaurant in Michigan. The restaurant was very cool, and historical. The food was just ok, nothing write home about. Service was good. I'd recommend it only if you want to be able to claim you've visited Michigan's oldest restaurant, otherwise there are better options in town.

Good restaurant. A little on the pricey side. Service was excellent. Were with a group of cancer survivors having a Christmas party. Gave us a separate room. This is the second time we have held our party there.

Great service and food. Kids meals include a drink and ice cream. I love their house salad, such great flavors and to top it off, you can kiss a moose of your choosing.

The oldest running restaurant in michigan! Great atmosphere, great staff and great food. If you like history this is a must see.

The cocktails were good is the best I can say about this place. If this is top 10 in T.C., I feel bad for the residents because the food was sub par at best. My wife got a chicken sandwich which was fine though it took almost 20 minutes to get to the table. I ordered a medium buffalo burger twice and twice it came well done and it tasted bad. Even after complaining to my server her reaction was to have someone else bring my bill and ring me up. Over $50 for bad food.

This is a small town old neighborhood bar. It doesn't even try to be anything more than that. I see why a local who grew up there and maybe got in his first fight there would love the place but I am embarrassed I suggested it to my wife. You would pass 10 better restaurants if you have to drive 15 minutes to get there. Most of the reviews for this restaurant must be from the relatives. I was not there on karaoke night and the large private party/dining room was not open. Maybe that what makes the place 4 star.

Was really excited to come here, but was pretty thoroughly let down. Came in on a Saturday night, was seated in about 10 minutes which was great. Ordered a medium rare 1/2 lb burger, and a little over an hour later I got a very well done burger. During that hour I sat in a very uncomfortable chair (wouldn't be an issue if the food came faster), listened to a piercing bell be rung 10 feet from my table several dozen times, and got to witness a random patron stand up and belt the entirety of god bless America at the top of his lungs. Only reason I gave two stars is because my waitress was very sympathetic about my experience and did her best to make amends, but I still won't be back.

Came here for the experience. Nice local family venue with good food. First time visitors may need to kiss Randolph the Moose. My wife and I didall in day of fun with family and friends.

Wish I found this place before my last night in NY!
Food, service and prices are all wins.

Not a fan on oysters but the menu had enough of a selection that I had more than enough to choose from.
The crab cakes and tuna tartar are great starters and the scallop special with mushroom risotto was very well prepared. No one rice grain was left on our plate.

The great food paired with a good selection of wines and craft beers (have the fruit fly) was only made better by the great service sitting at the bar.

Tucked away under a dark awning next to a flood of christmas lights from the Indian restaurants next door, you could easily miss it if you aren't looking. So swing by the East Village and def keep an eye out for it.
Will def come back again and certainly recommend to others.

Well. It started as a good experience, an went down hill from there. Fish was literally burnt black. Really! Why would you even bring it to the table? Then I nicely asked if I could have fish not burnt and a diet Pepsi. Literally 21 minutes later we get a basket with four pieces of fish for two. Guess what? Fish and batter was literally UN done half raw fish still no drink so I asked again and my guest asked for water an still no service. 17 minutes later still no drinks , now mind you there is only about 15 people in the whole place so why no service. Can't say to busy. So I get up an got to the bar an get my own drink. Still hungry we decide to just go it cost me $43.00 to get my own pop. And get some fries and coleslaw. Most saddest experience I've had in a long time.
