We had cowboy steak and scallops. Nothing was hot, scallops were fishy tasting, steak was okay, but not great. We won't go back !!!!
Let me say I have been to the Shula's in Chicago and the experience there was great. Wish I could say the same for this location, but the service was terrible, no one at host/hostess stand, walked in couldn't get the attention of anyone that worked there, just ignored me as I asked for a table. finally got a hostess and was like pulling teeth to get a table, she was very quick to offer me open seating at the bar area (which was full) as the sit down table area was completely empty compared to the bar area. slow service, when seated and a few rowdy patrons completely ruined the meal which was not great anyways. Save your money and your time and go to one of the many other better Steak Houses in Indy.
Filet one on the most divine in my life! Remarkable cut of meat I will return - great service.
We went there last night 8/26/17. It was the worst steak I've ever eaten. When we were in Florida in February we ate at a Shula's in the dolphin hotel at Disney world. That night was the best steak I ever ate. Ever! And I raise beef. But Indys downtown inside the Westin is terrible! My wife had the French onion soup and it was amazing. I got the thick cut bacon as an app and it was very good. But our steak was terrible. I originally ordered a 48 oz porter house which we were sharing. We asked for medium well. Then I remembered that when we were in Florida our waiter suggested we get 2-24s inside of the 48 since we wanted it med-well. So when our server came back to say it would take 45 minutes to cook our steak we said that's fine but we could switch our order to 2 24s she said oh I've already put it in it will be fine.. Fast forward close to an hour later we get our steak. They cut each side off the bone. My wife took the filet part and it wasn't terrible but no near the quality someone would expect from a $90 steak. My strip side was terrible. It was well past well done. It was basically a roast that had been cooked way to long and with absolutely no seasoning.. Just terrible!! I am not a person who complains about my food. I deal with the public and I understand. But after sleeping on it. Never again will I eat at the Indianapolis Shula's!!!
The perfect place for a good meal & incredibly great service regardless if you are going for a business meeting, casually stopping by, or celebrating a bday. The steaks & twice baked potatoes are kickass by far. \m/
Amazing food! I had the ribeye and grilled asparagus. Jason was a wonderful server with great recommendations! You may even run into a Colt's player or two 😉
Went for breakfast yesterday morning and my wife who has diabetes asked for sugar free syrup. What they brought to the table had an expiration date of February 2016. The waitress checked and all the bottles they had were dated the same date. We thought maybe they just refill the bottles with fresh syrup but the waitress said they didn't. Went back again this morning and asked for sugar free syrup and was brought the same old bottle. Sad, especially since we were in town for a diabetes conference.
Walked in and couldnt get seated everyone working was busy playing on their phones and talking. I counted about 5 customers in the whole place. The menu was unbelievable. 40 dollars or more for a steak and then if you wanted a side to go with it that was another 10 dollars. I ordered a filet cooked medium rare. When it finally came out there was not even the slightest bit of pink in the middle. They reluctantly offered me another one and said they "hoped" it would come out right. By the time it finally came out my friend was finished with their whole meal. The second steak wasn't right but better and had a sort of undesirable taste. And my asparagus was cold and raw. Hands down the worst steak I've ever had.
If I could give them 0 stars, I would.
They could have at the very least comped the dessert.
Breakfast buffett was varied, very well presented and tasty. Coffee was strong and plentiful. Our server Amy took very good care of our large party. Recommended!
The food was good and the servers were nice enough. Service was just very slow. It seemed as if they were not prepared for dinner service. It took a long time to get seated even though there was only one group before us and the restaurant just started dinner service so there were only a few tables filled. Dinner rolles weren't ready and took ages to come out. When you have hungry 2 and 4 year olds, this is very important.
When they came to take our order at our table of 6 I asked the server if he should write down our order? He stated he would be fine as he is a professional.
When our order came I had the wrong salad, asked for a wedge and received a house salad. I told them no problem because I was really hungry.
When my meal came I was not at the table and my steak was well done, I asked for Medium Rare. My friend sitting next to me, her steak was rare and she couldn't eat most of it. We ordered different steaks so we couldn't even trade.
I sent my meal back and they brought me the correct one after the rest of my table had already eaten. I ended up eating the rare parts of my friends steak that she didn't want.
We've been to Shulas in different cities and this visit was not enjoyable at all. I don't get to eat out often at fancy restaurants so, when I do I expect the service to be better.
The food tasted good and the people were very nice. But, if you go here make sure your waiter writes down your order.
I had always wanted to go to this restaurant and finally had the opportunity in Fort Myer Airport. Wow! Was I disappointed! Chris, an older man that waited on me, needs to reevaluate his decision to be in the service industry. I had to ask for my flatware, a refill, and my bill. Someone else brought my food and I wasn't extremely excited about the taste of it! I went ahead and ordered desert as well thinking it would help kill a little more time. In the end, my bill was $40 and I left $6 for a tip, although I have yet to understand what the tip was actually for. As he picked up the bill and saw his tip, he was shaking his head as if he could not believe I would have the audacity to ONLY leave 15% instead of 20%!?? REALLY??? People like that deserve no tip at all.
