Went last Saturday using a Groupon deal for 4 and had a great time! The distillery is small but in a gorgeous setting and the tour was interesting and informative. The tastings afterward were fun plus ours included a moonshine cocktail demonstration. We didn't take the mixology class, but plan to come again and do it because it looked like fun, too. Ate a delicious lunch sitting out on the deck enjoying the beautiful view. All of the folks were friendly and accommodating and the moonshine ain't bad either!

Our experience at Short Mountain Distillery was incredible. The food was great, our server, Samantha, was excellent, and the tour with Lyle was entertaining and informative. We can't wait to come back and try the mixology class.

Short Mountain Distillery is in a beautiful country spot! Views are amazing. We had the Blacken blue(blue cheese) burger and fries, A Palmer tea and my friend had the Lemonade with rosemary! Drinks were delicious! The food was pretty good.We had a brownie for dessert and that was the best I've ever had.
The restaurant is very clean and lots of woodwork that is just gorgeous. We were happy to see all the big windows because we wanted to see those views! We sat inside only because it was a little windy, but next time hoping to sit outside and eat and take in those rolling green hills and Willow tree.
Our server was nice and I believe had a new server in training with him so we actually got 2 servers which was nice.
The young lady behind the bar (sorry we missed her name) but she was great! She smiled from the moment we walked in.She was helpful in picking out a bottle(We both went home with a bottle of Apple Pie Moonshine) And she even gave out the recipe we liked for the lemonade drink. We did the tour and tasting.Our guide was fun and he was full of the old stories of this place and the people that started it. He shared loads of information and he even ended the tour as our bartender and talked about each of the different types of drinks we were trying and ended it by making us a New Yorker. I can't wait to go back again. I recommend this place so much..its not Lynchburg(Jack Daniel's) by any means. It's a smaller version of a quaint distillery in a beautiful setting without the waiting and crowds!! Loved it and can't wait to go back and hear some live music.

I went on a public "ghost tour" here with Rutherford County Paranormal. We had a nice dinner, then proceeded to do an investigation down by the creek for some spirits. The spirits in the woods are featured in the 2nd pic below. Then we went back to the restaurant where we detected paranormal activity there. Some of the men were attacked and pushed around. One was scratched - see the pic below. A couple of pics below show orbs and one has an apparition circled in a doorway. Meanwhile, the food served was rich and tasty, and the alcoholic spirits made here hit the spot Very nice facility for dining and maybe a private party or even a wedding?

Very much improved. I think there'sasa something for everyone on the new menu. Big steps up in both taste and presentation. It's also a very nice space. Good views. Pleasant atmosphere. Booze too.

We arrived around 12:30PM on a Friday. We were not so interested in a distillery tour as we were in learning about the process, tasting the products, and having some lunch. We got that in spades! This is small distillery, and while they don't make a lot of product, they have excellent aged bourbon, good rye, great moonshine and some very good flavored bourbon (Apple pie & Short Mountain Prohibition Tea). We had to have a couple of bottles of the aged bourbon and one of the moonshine. We each ate a hamburger for lunch - it was simply the best burger I've ever had! Organic, grass fed beef made there. Jeff was a kick to talk with and the staff in the restaurant was superb. We left before a Tour started.

Distillery is small but makes great moonshine with different flavors and prices. One of my favorite places for moonshine. The cafe is a nice,clean place with views and friendly service. However, portions of food and quality do not match the prices they charge or the description on the menu. For example, I got a blt sandwich. The description on the menu sounded delicious. When I got the sandwich, it had a very tiny, not so crisp, wilty piece of lettuce. One tiny, very thin slice of tomato for the whole sandwich. The bacon was thin and overcooked so much, it fell off the sandwich in tiny pieces. So, you couldnt eat it in the sandwich. Been there 2 times now, trying something different Gonna try one more time.

Everything was on point. Our waiter Trey needs a bonus for being cool as hell. If y'all are reading this up there give him his money. Bartender is A+ with the drinks. Should have tipped her too. Don't hesitate to give it a try. A breath of fresh air with good food and bad ass spirits what more could you want.

Tours give a good history of Tennessee moonshine. Also much more convenient from Nashville than Jack Daniels. Restaurant on site with good lunch. And you MUST get the brownie ice cream dessert. So yummy!

Excellent moonshine and friendly staff. We visit often and stay for lunch, food is very good. Definitely take a tour and tasting. Feel like you are part of the family by the time you leave.
