One of if not the most authentic Japanese places in Boston. Good environment and nice price. Worth a trip there.

The food was decent, but I won't be going back or recommending this place to anyone because of the service. Everything was very, very slow. The two servers who were working the whole restaurant weren't friendly or helpful. After a long wait for food to arrive, they finally told us that one of the dishes we ordered was unavailable.

The best sushi in Brookline. Small, discrete, and almost a hidden gem. I'd recommend to anyone in the area.

So happy that such an authentic Japanese kaiseki place like this exists in Boston! They only serve kaiseki for lunch and while the plates seem small, the entire meal is very filling so make sure you come hungry! If you understand kaiseki at all and love Japanese food, you will appreciate this place just as much as I do - 5 stars all the way!

I love this place, i lived in Brookline my whole life and walk by this place numerous times. And one day, I decided to stop in for lunch. Tekka donburi is A+

I never review places, even when the experience is great, but I had to for Shiki after I finished my lunch because it was amazing! I got a simple Sashami lunch set with sushi rice, everything from the miso soup, to the freshness of the fish blew my mind. Simple, authentic, and extremely fresh! Out of all the places in Brookline this just became my absolute favorite!

This place used to be ok place for a quick sushi lunch but they have absolutely 0 time management. They make their customer sit around for half an hour after the meal because they didn't give out a bill WHILE there are handful of people waiting. They also mix up the waitlist. If they get a table for 4 (which can be divided), they would just give the whole table for someone who came in 30 minutes later just because just because they have 3 people. I had to wait 2 hours+ just to grab lunch.

Really interesting Japanese dishes. Relatively small plates, so try a couple things. Different textures was one of the best aspects.

The most authentic Japanese food in Boston according to many locals from Japan. Recommend the lunch sets, go for the deluxe. Good sake collection too.
