Good luck finding street parking. Food here is so good. Always busy so expect to wait a while unless you want to sit with another group.

Mmm they have this lunch special or some kind of special where you can order 3 items from a list. A lot of fantastic choice, good to share with with a friend or date. Food was delicious and expected level of service for the location.

This place should be a foodie's heaven and they must come for that pilgrimage! A small space with no fancy fair, where parties have to share tables most often, yet, there could be 40 people wait listed at peak hours. So what's the surprise?: Food is fabulous, yet very reasonably priced. Nothing I have ever had there was ever less than awesome! They do exceptionally good with fish dishes! Try anything you want. Freshness as well as simplicity of ingredients is also the key.
Only remember: they take the longest to get the dumplings to you. I think because they make it fresh from scratch. So if you want them to arrive before your entrees, do mention!response / report this review -

Great food, great prices, quick once you get seated. I eat here often; Best dumplings I've ever had(the mini juicy pork dumplings are my favorite). There is a chance you will be seated with another group, which I personally enjoy. The place could use a bit of an uplift, they are always busy, and much of the staffs' english isn't the greatest so it takes a little back and forth and confirmation of ordering. Also Notice the signs all over that say "minimum charge for credit cards is $20" so order at least that or pay in cash.

There was a twenty minute wait on a Saturday which seems to be the norm at this place. When we got in we were seated at a hastily cleaned table which was understandable because of the demand. We ordered a bunch of food including the specialty dumplings and soup dumplings along with scallion pancakes, noodles, soup, and tofu. The food came quick and the portion sizes were average. The soup dumplings are subpar to other restaurants (I am Chinese and have been to China before). The food was salty and a bit overpriced but overall wasn't too bad. However, I think they ripped us off a little bit on the price of things . . . There are better places in Boston to eat.

Very small spacious to go in and sit. Tough to go in and out during weekends. We went on a Sunday morning and the food was alright. First time trying there. I didn't try many dish so I don't know if it's all good or not.

Cheap and cheerful. Lineups move quickly. Everything is authentic and freshly prepared- careful could be very hot! A few veggie choices: Steamed vegetarian dumplings are good, scallion pancake, veggie spring rolls. Staff is patient, quarters are tight. Credit card minimum is $20.

Do not recommend and would stay far away. If you are paying cash be careful and count properly because this restaurant will rip you off.
Came in by myself and they first sat and made me share a table with 6 other people. Food was average definitely not worth the hype. They don't accept credit cards under $20 so my bill was $14.90. I paid with a $100 bill and they gave me back $58.90.
I went to ask about the rest of my change and she acted all confused and started counting the money and handling other people's bills. Stood there for about 10 minutes and told her what change I should be receiving. She finally gave me the right change but then as I was counting she said something in Chinese and literally snatched it out of my hand and started counting without saying anything to me. I was just shocked at this point.
Didn't say anything and just waited as I did not want to make a scene. Finally she gave me my change back didn't apologize and was quite rude.
There are a ton of great restaurants in Chinatown, I would stay away from this one.response / report this review -

The food here was delicious! The soup is super hot when it comes out so let it cool off and you only need one for the table because it is so massive! The dumpling filling was good, but needs a little more flavor. Overall a good meal that was inexpensive. Definitely get here for an early dinner because it gets super busy!

Despite the name, dumplings are but a small part of their menu. The dumplings are definitely good, but far from great. Hopefully this is not the best Boston has to offer. I wouldn't wait in long lines for this, but a weekday lunch was good.

The soup or "juicy" dumplings are definitely the best. Be prepared to sit with random people at your table. You can choose to try and be engaging, or just stuff your face with dumplings.

Food was okay but I've had better. The scallion pancake was over-done. The "juicy dumplings" tasted like preservatives and was over-filled with soy sauce. Also we had to share a small table with strangers which was awkward.

Never mind the long wait for a table but once you've seated and ordered food, you will get a very good meal of dumplings and noodles and other Chinese comfort food. Be sure to eat fast as many people are waiting outside. Be a good Samaritan and offer vacant seats on your table to famished tourists like you.

It's crowded, loud, and frantic. I love this place! The best dishes I've ever eaten and it makes me feel like I'm in a different country, even if only for an hour. Any other place is like a Chinese-American restaurant, but when I'm here, I am magically transported to China, it's heaven! Be aware, dishes are served when ready. Order something as soon as you are seated, then continue ordering when you make decisions. Just to be helpful, don't even look at the menu, just say you want tea, water and juicy soup dumplings as your starter order (they take 20 min), figure out what else you want after your dumpings are being made. Then just enjoy your time and move along to allow someone else the same experience. Go next door and get a pastry for dessert.
