Room had been updated with walk in shower. Bed was comfortable and TV had high definition quality. Avoid the Breakfast buffet unless it is part of room price because for $33 after tip it is a poor value. Food was not hot. Scrambled eggs too wet. The cereal choices did not include any healthy choices. The Bagels we're not sliced to all for toasting. The coffee was hot and the service excellent. Order off the menu. It may be just as much but it will be hotter.
Excessively noisy. Had to complain to staff. This is the 1st 4 star hotel I have stayed at that I can even hear anything coming from other rooms or hallways. So far 2 out of 2 days I have been woken up from noise before 730AM. Also, gift shop over charges. $10 for band aids, everything seemed to be 2 to 3 times more expensive. COLD bottled coffee for over $5, I normally pay $1.99 And Ricola cough drops that sell for. 99 are over $4. Parking sucks also. The only reasonable thing is The price for the room which is very nice.
Valet and staff were very nice. The hotel lobby and ballroom where my event was at was very Grand and plenty of room to sit down between events. I was only there for a professional event, so not sure about the rooms. Everything I experienced was great.
Booked a one night stay for a concert I attended. At first, it was great. Based on my stay and the hotel itself, I would've given 4-5 stars. However, shortly after checking out, I noticed that the hotel charged me an additional $500 (mind you I prepaid for the room and my deposit had already been taken out when I checked in). I hadn't gotten any type of phone call, receipt or e-mail correspondence in regards to the charge. When I called the hotels accounting department, I was told that the $500 charge was to cover damages to the desk in the room. I didn't even use the desk. I used the bathroom to get ready in and the bed to sleep in for a short period of time. That was ALL. I went on to request further details in regards to the damage, because I knew for fact that it was not a result of my stay in the room. After waiting for a day, the associate who was helping me e-mailed me a photo of the damage. It literally looked like someone angrily took a knife to the surface of the desk. I was then told that if I wanted to dispute the charge I would have to contact my bank. I explained that I would not be contacting my bank because of their staffs incompetence. Clearly, upon the previous guests check out, the cleaning staff (or whoever) didn't do a well enough job checking for damages, so they decided to assume the damage came from me just so that they could get money out of someone. I totally understand if I were responsible for the damages. In that case, I would've brushed it off and taken the responsibility because I am an honest person. I asked to speak to a supervisor because it wasn't fair to have to go through a 30-day dispute with my bank to only hope for my money back that paid for someone else's damage to their property. Ultimately, and with a fight, I was granted a refund. But, I am completely turned off by the way this was handled. I would've appreciated being contacted by someone before $500 was wrongfully charged to my debit card without explanation and not being (basically) told to deal with it when I called to complain. Horrible customer service in that aspect. I will never visit this hotel again.
The rooms are immaculate! The lobby is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The pool gets busy at night but not too crazy. The bar is amazing with good food and views. A little pricey but worth it.
You get what you pay for. At least you can walk to your hotel from the terminal. A hotel by the airport will not yield any of the good food, drink or social atmosphere Los Angeles can provide. The view is bland, parking lots, buildings and airport runways. The rooms and building layout are generic. The service and management leaves much to be desired. Can't wait to check out and never come back to this hotel or any near it.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel! Great service! The front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate me and my guest. We even got a free upgrade to a suite with free wifi since it was my birthday! Room was wonderful and we actually received fresh linen for our bed. The only complaint I have is our room key all of sudden stopped working on us after leaving it in our pockets away from our cellphones. It happened 4 times. I think they should fix that issue. Overall, great stay! Highly recommend!
Great food and service. Good location for a meal or light bite on a few hour layover. Very nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Staff were all excellent except for the woman in the valet booth. If not for her curt and rudeness would be 5 star.
I've been a guest at this hotel for several weeks, and it has generally been a great experience. The staff is friendly, especially after they've seen you around several times. The corporate rate I have gets me access to the Club Lounge, which provides a decent breakfast every morning. The staff there are outstanding. The reasons I've only given 4 stars are that (1) the breakfast options in the lounge never change, (2) the food at the bar and in the restaurant is overpriced, and (3) I've had several instances of my key cards suddenly not working (despite having kept them in a pocket by themselves all day).
Would have given a 3.5 if there were an option. The beds are comfortable, the restaurant food is decent, the rooms are pretty quiet (or no one was on either side of us), and the building is pretty nice but they're missing a few key features: WiFi in the rooms is not free, some electrical sockets do not work, no refrigerator in the room, and the shower pressure is low. We called for toothpaste twice and was told someone was coming but they never did; however, I won't count it against them because the front desk is very busy as it's such a big hotel. Great view of the city at night and many places to eat nearby. Not such a bad place to be. The hotel was paid for by work, so take it with a grain of salt.
Large hotel very close to LAX. Big, comfortable rooms. Huge reception area. Expect there to be events on in the hotel every day. On-site Starbucks. Staff very helpful and courteous. Only disappointment was the $26 'grand buffet' breakfast which lacking in choice and quality at that price.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around
Right next to LAX with a reliable shuttle service. Stayed on the club level, where the rooms have been renovated. However it was very easy to hear what was going on in the connected room and the hallway. Doors need to be updated for soundproofing. Food and drinks in the lounge were very nice and staff were polite and attentive. Being on the top floor, we could hear every plane land and takeoff with ease. I do think the benefits outweigh the negatives and would stay again
Good Customer Service. It is located by the Airport so if you are a light sleeper you may want to stay at a further Hotel. The only 2 issue we really encountered were the parking there is a lot behind the hotel and if you are parking for the night it is $17.50 but not in and out. They advise you at the desk for check in that you can get a day pass (24hr from time of purchase) for $26. The other issue is be sure to let them know you do not want a conjoined room. You will be able to hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do. Overall very convenient hotel location wise.
