I first attended in 1998 and attended 2-3 retreats every year when I lived on the east coast. I'll never stop attending as long as I am able. It's phenomenal to be more and more alive. I call Shalom the most loving place on earth.
I met JON Terrell at Shalom Mountain where he provided a healing session unlike any I'd had. At his retreats, I completed my healing journey of opening my heart, reclaiming my power and forging my path on this planet. I trusted no less than my life with Jon and he delivered.
I wish I could write a review that would do Shalom Mountain justice, but sometimes words just aren't enough to convey the message. I've been to a brace of Shalom Retreats in 2017. For both, I went into stressed, in despair, and nearly broken by Life, and came out relaxed, energized, and feeling that I had Hope and a path to be a better Me. Do come.
Shalom Mountain profoundly changed my life. Each retreat experience was transformative. I'm forever grateful for the warmth and wisdom of retreat leaders and the community. Shalom calls me back to living with love and integrity in a way that I haven't found anywhere else. And, as if that weren't enough, I've made lifelong friends and shared so much laughter and joy. I couldn't recommend a retreat center more highly than Shalom Mountain.
I've been a participant in several retreats at Shalom, specifically Men's Retreats. The facilitators are phenomenal, caring, welcoming, loving, highly skilled leaders. I have recommended Shalom to many friends, and will continue to support the work they do at this retreat.
I had the good fortune to attend my first retreat at Shalom Mountain and Retreat Center this past August at the urging of a friend who has been making an annual visit for years. As soon as I arrived, I was met with a warmth and acceptance that we do not always find in the world today. Transformational is the best word to describe my experience at Shalom. The leaders and staff are skilled at building a community where one is encouraged to share his/her thoughts in a safe space free of harsh judgement and full of support. My fellow participants were open and engaging and I know that I have forged a few lifelong friendships from this one weekend. August may have been my first retreat, but I know for certain it will not be my last.
I have been attending retreats at Shalom Mountain for over 6 years. My experiences here have radically changed the course of my life, and given me a set of principles and skills that have been my framework for navigating the world with deep, skillful, loving presence. Shalom has always been a place where my heart felt totally welcomed and at home, and I would say it is also the place where I really learned how to love and be loved. I attended my first retreat on my 30th birthday, not expecting anyone to do anything special, and left feeling more well celebrated than I had ever been in my life - it was a truly meaningful and priceless experience that I’ll never forget. I have met most of my closest friends here, and made deep, long-lasting connections with many people in the community that have made a huge difference in my life. It is a place where I really found my ‘tribe’, of intelligent, open-hearted people who are committed to consciously loving others, themselves, and the world - and what I took away from those retreats helped me to create the kind of deep relationships, presence, and connection that I longed to have in my life. It is also a place where I have done my deepest healing, and found both my voice and my power. I’ve brought many people in my life here, and watched their lives totally transform. I highly recommend Shalom Mountain for anyone looking for deep healing, personal growth, authentic connection, and an exploration of what it means to love.
Shalom Mountain has positively transformed my life from relative chaos to consistent joy. The leaders have always been compassionately skilled and extraordinarily open-hearted. The seriousness of facing trauma and deep woundings is balanced with spontaneous fun and laughter. Healing, bonding, and loving always welcome you ay Shalom.
My experience was horrifying ! Mr. Christian Si is a very SHADY character as is this front of a establishment. What REALLY goes on here is absolutely Sickening. BEWARE. Cult style activities that catch you off guard as a first time visitor. Sexual indescency at any moral standards. All the neighbors within a 10 mile radius are mortified but can't do anything about it because they fear the consequences from the Christian Si followers along with another woman living in a newer home that that was built with illigal funds and has left contractors owed nearly $10,s of thousands of dollars ! Help shut this cult down! They re immoral sex clubs with a bunch of grandmas and grandpas trying to seduce young couples. Don't take my word for it. Go see for yourself as under cover investigating because if you drive up and ask they obviously won't tell you because they are under the threat and rule of Christian Si.
Christian. I would love to meet and hear your side of the story in person if my information is wrong. I'm only going by facts. Feel free to contact me anytime to discuss. Only condition is you must be dressed. I will NOT meet with a naked man
Shalom Mountain Retreat Center is a place where I learned to love and trust again. The unconditional acceptance of myself and others changed my life forever. Shalom is my touch stone for which I am so grateful.
Changed my life, saved my life, as only love can.
Shalom Mountain has being around for 40 years! No other transformative community has being around for this long in the country (might be one or two others). And it has survived because it was founded to be a hope structure of support and transformation thru Love. It Has saved my life, form a boring and unconscious life to a happy fulfilled grateful life.
It has taught me how to be a loving human being in the world. And now more than ever we need to be better lovers in the world.
An intense vibrant place that provided both community and individual space as needed. The staff are knowledgeable, competent, kind, and genuine, and the property is a lovely oasis of peacefulness. I approached Shalom Mountain with a degree of wariness, but was quite overcome by the honest enthusiasm and joy that this intentional community has with and for each other. I cannot wait to return and explore more of both what that space and that community has to offer in different seasons and events.
May God bless you richly! One day I was sleeping and God showed me this mountain I've ever seen in my life. I asked has a big brother: "are there a mountain in the United States called Shalom Mountain?" "And it me fulfilling, no!" but in doing research, I have finally found it and it is found only in the United States. As soon as I have money, I'll come to see in my own eyes!
