Aspen itself as a gym is average but when it comes to billing, beware. I just discovered that they billed me for months after I cancelled my membership and wound up sending me to collections without ever having sent me statements for the balance I supposedly owed. My payments, when I was a member, were set to auto-pay so there should have been no reason they didn't receive a payment that were due. I only found out about the past due balance after being called by a collections agency after over two years of when I terminated my gym membership. After speaking with Aspen directly, their member services team cited made-up notes from a prior conversation and offered a settlement like they were doing me a favor. My advice is do yourself a favor and avoid this place. They're not worth the hassle. Pay a little more and try a gym that's worth the investment or hit Planet Fitness if you're just looking for cardio and a bit of toning. That's just my two cents. Good luck if you decide to join! I hope no one else has to share this experience!

Staff is friendly and supportive. Wasn't fond of the music, so I got my own Bluetooth ear buds and listen to Pandora over free wifi provided by gym. Spinning equipment and instructors are top flight. Large variety of equipment and weights that are well maintained. Personally I would never use a tanning bed, so no opinion there. Could use new carpet everywhere and better floor surface in locker room.

I used to like this gym because the staff is friendly, the trainers are good and the equipment (although old) is better than many other places. However, they do not follow the health department rules and regulations for tanning beds. The beds are not cleaned by the facility after each use. They are only checked on hourly. I have not seen anyone clean the rooms or beds since I started going there. I spoke to the manager who stood by his statement of the beds being cleaned hourly by his staff because they do not have enough staff to ensure sanitation of a bed after each use. Even though I provided education on the types of diseases that can be spread via tanning beds and explained the rationale behind the beds getting cleaned by the facility, he seemed to only validate my concerns because he wanted out of the conversation.

Friendly staff and the place is clean and lots of equipment so you don't have to wait long. Except for the first of the year wen everybody say I have to get in shape and goes for about a month or 2.
