Great park, I walk there almost every day. Safe, nice pool, big campground and small family cabins. Several trails of varying length and difficulty. Nice place to walk your dog, jog or walk. Just a real nice park with three lakes to fish as well.

Absolutely love this park. We spent a couple of nights in one of their cabins. Impressed with the cabin and amenities. Stayed off season so it was quiet and we had our pick of fishing spots! Will definitively be going back!

We enjoyed our visit to Shakamak, although it isn't as well maintained as some other state parks we've visited. The trails aren't always clearly marked, and the map is a good guide but it's not to scale. There were a few places on trail 1 where the dirt path has almost completely eroded away! They keep the campground clean and reasonably maintained, and the pool and slide was a huge hit with the kids!

Beautiful scenery, great place to kayak in three different lakes. No gas motors make it safer and more peaceful. 7 well maintained trails that are frequented by a multitude of wildlife. Large, well, designed pool! Not.to mention large camp spots, Can't wait to go back.

Love this place! It's beautiful and peaceful. Has awesome prices on boat rentals and 3 lakes and their cabins are amazing for the pricewe love it. We caught about 12 crappie just from the dock last weekend. Definitely worth the trip if you like serene and removed parks.

Our family had a wonderful time camping at Shakamak! The paddle boat 2 hour window is understandable during peak season but we rented the only 2 on the slip that day. Wish we were able to extend the 2 hours. You can rent the row boats for 24 hour periods which is great!

We stayed 2 days in cabin 1. I wish we could have stayed longer. I was so impressed. It was rustic but so clean. There were protectors on each mattress and cabin was very clean. The view of the lake from the cabin is so beautiful. Private dock was great for fishing. Park staff is so knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Be here in summer to camp, play games, go boating and laze around. Restrooms near camping site can be improved.

The facilities here are cleaned regularly & in great condition. Very handicap friendly. Also great hiking & fishing. Our church took a retreat here last fall and there was a grove of persimmons ripe for the picking just outside our cabin! We will definitely be going back in years to come.
