We loved this campground! Everyone was super friendly! And the hosts were so welcoming! We had coffee with them and Milo the dog our first morning there! Would most definitely return if we are ever in the area again!
Great camping experience, we had a primitive site by the Wabash River, quiet, peaceful, senic. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. It looks like they have a theme 1 night of the weekend, we had a chili dinner night the food was really good and it was all you could eat. My family is going to plan at least 2 camping trips every year at this place yearly. The other campers we're courteous to surrounding campers and offered any help if needed. They offer showers, laundry and firewood at a very reasonable price they even deliver the wood. Fantastic place for the kids and family.
Very friendly staff, roomy sites. Not totally level sites, but not bad either. I've seen much worse. All in all, I liked it and I'd come back. Very pleased.
This campground is fantastic. The owners are friendly and they have lots of activities on weekends. Lots of trees everywhere for plenty of shade. Love it!
A nice quiet place but not enough spots for big rigs with towing trailer. They had 4 pull through spot. 3 looked like they were bring occupied permanently. We stayed in number 4 which was just long enough. Also it was right by the swimming pool. Spots weren't real wide. Our slide went out against the electric. One of the owners does smoke so be prepared when you go in the office. There is a convenience store in walking distance and the river is within walking distance. That is why it got a 3 instead of a 2. Will not stay here again.
Best place I've ever camped at We all are one big family
I have been reading the reviews, and I had to speak up. My husband and I stayed here with our children and had a very great experience! We would have brought our dog but he passed away shortly before coming. The management was extremely nice and informative about fun things to do in the area, and the fun things planned there throughout the year. This is a campground with so many things to do! We weren't able to go riverside due to flooding but that was because of safety not anything in the owner's control. We absolutely loved the scenery here, we camped in a primitive site in a tent and were treated with respect, and are really hoping to go back in a couple weekends, watching the weather though as it may rain us out unfortunately. Thank you for everything hope to see you again soon.
It's a nice little campground with plenty of amenities for the kids, I definitely recommend checking it out.
Wolfe's Leisure Time Campground is a Privately owned and operated campground. The campground is 51 years old,Our facilities are kept clean, roads have been widened and certain sites were expanded to handle some of the Big Rigs. We do not claim to be a resort, or RV Park, we are an old fashioned campground that offers a lot of activities and amenities.
Not sure whom Erin talked to, Over Memorial Day weekend, several yells went out to all speeders to slow down by staff AND camping patrons. (Including golf carts) There were about 100 children roaming the campground having fun. Restrooms were available to ALL 300 guests and checked regularly. Had many "compliments" on how clean they were kept.
NOTHING was said to the owners, I guess it's easier to complain on Google
Pet Policy: Sorry we do not allow Pit Bulls, Rottweilers or "aggressive dogs. This is NOT because we dislike pets, it is because these breeds can be dangerous to "non-family" members and other pets. Have you ever had your dog mauled by a Pit Bull? Well it's happened in the campground. Pit Bulls are very "loyal" dogs, they will do anything to protect their territory if they feel threatened. So for the safety of the majority of our guests and their 4 legged family, we have banned them from our property. (BTW, the Google review poster hung up on the Campground Lady)
The sites were nicely wooded and well spaced. There was a community event happening as we left and I feel that the campground is involved with the local community in a positive way.
I was disappointed by the messy appearance when you first drive in. There was a lot of equipment and garage door left open and the pool was surrounded by a chain link fence and green. The pool was not open, but not pleasant to look at.
it was irritating was that someone was cutting grass on our spot while my husband was making lunch and throwing grass into the area. My mother heard the mower throwing stuff on the RV outside walls from in the unit.
We were there in the middle of the week in an off season, so there was no other involvement with the campground's staff, so there is nothing to compare that to.
