When in Lafayetts, we always visit Preston's! Awesome food, drinks,and a freindly staff. The menu is extensive. We tend to order what the employees recommend and we are never disappointed. The atmoshere is comfortable and friendly. We enjoy talking with the other patrons and relaxing with a beer on the patio. We recommend this eatery to anyone visiting or living in Lafayette. Love the Prime Rib, Wings, salads, and more!

This place is well kept and had a nice outdoors patio for seating, but I can't rate it any higher because the effort they put into their food is dismal. I ordered the jalapeno popper burger that came with fried onion strings and cream cheese on it. The only GOOD thing about that burger was how the meat was cooked. It was cooked medium well very well. The bun was dry and not toasted. The meat wasn't spiced. The cream cheese and fried onions barely existed. Huge letdown. Don't get any fries. They're all frozen and barely warmed up to temp.

Parking was close and available. Our server came to our table in minutes. Decor doesn't match the vibe of the place, but it wasn't too loud or crowded either. Our dinner was tasty, and our table had a view into the kitchen which looked very clean. I'd come back.

Great place with good food. I have been multiple times. Everyone is always friendly and always feel like a local even when you are from out of town. Great bartenders. Great food. Nice patio. 2 thumbs up!

Can't bear to give it more than two stars, despite the nice space outside, cool decor on the inside and our lovely server. She was very sweet and did nothing wrong. The pricing of the food for the quality was way off though. Ordered a sandwich for almost $10 and it was just white bread and turkey, nothing amazing. Cesar salad was definitely NOT that. Had whole sardines on it, the lettuce tasted as if it had been soaked in dish soap or something. The cook and staff should be ashamed. We politely complained to our waitress that it was completely unacceptable, and that we didn't want anything in its place. She was apologetic and we were not at all mad at her. We did still have to pay for it, which was pretty ridiculous. Would never go back or recommend. A child could make a better salad, and their bartenders were loud and obnoxious. This was a Saturday afternoon, restaurant was basically empty.

I have been here twice and have mixed reviews. The first time was a crowded weekend; the food was delicious and the service was great. The server was absolutely marvelous: service was pretty quick, and zero complaints. The second time was on a weekday with a sum total of two tables occupied. The food was barely okay-ish and the service was absolutely terrible. I generally do not criticize the service and give the servers the benefit of doubt, but this time the service was absolutely terrible (missed drinks, very late service, barely checked in on us once after food was served, so on)

The best. Always a calender of drink and food specials. Steaks always perfect. Wide variety of menu options range in price. Bartenders must have perfect photographic memory cause they always remember me, my drink choices, and what's going in my life. Staff always on point. A gem in downtown.
