Adult high school/GED students. Watch out. They will lie to you multiple times that their program gives you a high school diploma. This is a lie it's a GED accepted as a high school diploma in ONLY CERTAIN places. The military is not one of them and I'm sure there are others. Do your own research so you aren't tricked by the school into a false hope.

It's so crazy to me that my graduation is literally around the corner, I remember when I first started at Seminole State and now to know that I'm about to be done it's crazy to me. I remember being lost and confused and just scared because it was something different for me and I was going into something that was going to change the rest of my life. Although many people at Seminole state have touched me in the most incredible way but the two counselors that really touched me the most and really made a huge impact in my life would be Raquel Gray and Alvin Mitchell. These two counselors have always motivated and encourage me and just saw a light in me that I didn't see in myself. I remember when I was feeling really down one day and I decided to go see my counselor at the time which was Raquel Gray, I felt like no one was supporting me I felt lost, confused her words were "Don't feel like you're by yourself because here at Seminole State we are a family and all we want to do is help you in anyway that we can I encourage you to keep pushing and to never give up. " Those words alone have made a huge impact in my life and I'm forever grateful for her. Mr. Mitchell showed me a whole new light of education me going on the trip to BBCB and being the first Female to enter (SIMS) club made a huge impact in my life and now I see education in a different light. I can do anything if I put my mind to it and the only person that stops me is myself . All I can say is I am forever grateful to be a student at Seminole State College I learned at lot about myself in becoming a better student and yet a better person. I'm ready for my next chapter in my life and most importantly I'm ready to be a graduate!! From the bottom of my heart Seminole State thank you so much for the opportunities I can truly say that I have become a better person and it's only because of the people that work at Seminole State. Started attending Seminole State about a year ago. The admissions staff helped me understand what I needed to get done and I was able to register on time. The experience here has been great!

For a higher level education institute, they are extremely disorganized and will never accept it when they make a mistake. They will try everything they can to blame you for their mistake, ridiculous college.

Destination graduation is a fake department who claim will assist you. For starters the lady was 20 mins late from her start time, but then aware of recent hurricane and offered a voucher then says because ive used foul language I cant qualify for assistance. Im confused now, financial aid made a mistake by NOT properly putting in all hand delivered information in the system right away is not the fault of the student. There was also an issue with the verification department to review my transcript or I was getting dropped. This school is a waste! This is my first and final semester here! They take thier sweet old time to do thier jobs holding the student accountable. Now they refused to help, ok dully noted! Will be transferring next year!

I went to community college in New Jersey and transferred here in the beginning of 2017. I am glad I chose Seminole State because the students and faculty are friendly and the campus is beautiful. I disliked attending college before, but coming here has restored my love for formal education!

I've been coming to Seminole State since 2010 and it started off as a great school. I completed all of my prerequisite courses for nursing until I went to apply for the program after having a baby and taking some time off, they had added an extra course to the required courses. No problem there, but since then I have felt the school has been messing up! the financial office has no idea what they are doing and I believe it is on purpose. I had to pay out of pocket for that last prerequisite because they could not straighten something out with the IRS paper that they needed and the one i was requesting from the IRS. Because of one word that was different in the title, they cannot accept my form which was the only form that the IRS had for me to request! I went today for an academic advising session and forget it! what a complete joke!! Stephanie Reese is completely rude and makes you feel stupid because I heard the girl in the front saying she gets mad because people do not read the website. . . but if the website was less confusing for the nursing program we wouldn't have to go to her for questions. But even if it really is a dumb question that's what she is there for, getting paid to help people, but since she hates her job so much she gives people attitude and makes you feel stupid. What a waste of time!

If you're in search of a community college to attend in hopes of gaining a valuable trade such as welding, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. The instructors aren't the problem; the system is. It's set up in a way that complete mouth breathers and trouble makers cannot be held accountable for their actions no matter what. Instead, they are pushed through the program like their peers that actually show up for school every day and apply themselves. If you're a grown man who still lives with mommy and daddy & depends on them to fight your self-inflicted battles for you, this school is the one! However if you're a real man (or woman) who values hard work and consider yourself a motivated go-getter, you can do so much better. On top of being ran by spineless softies who cave at the slightest mention of push back, their funding is seriously mismanaged. At no time should any class run out of materials considering tuition goes towards them. If I could go back in time and select a better school I'd have went with one that rhymes with "falencia"

There financial aid department is literally a joke. This campus and Altamonte Springs campus. They make it almost absolutely impossible for you to enroll in classes, they are forever putting holds on my account for nothing. You honestly get what you pay for when coming to this school, go to Valencia.

The call center representative(financial aid)are incompetent,and even went to the extreme to make up amounts to give to me that ended up exceeding the tuition charges and loan fees. Nothing the representative said made sense. I called to get assistance with charges on my student account balance, and a summary of what loans have been disbursed on my account only to be told more inaccurate information. Tired of hearing a bunch of pauses and Ummm's I hung up and called again to get get the same representative who 1st woryd were. "I reviewed your information already" then proceeded to do account verification then to shouting random amounts from out her ass. Poorly trained for such simple task .Going up to the campus.
