It is a nice place but not any more as it has incurred Irma's wrath. Why is this not publicized anywhere? I was down in mid November and the first floor of the main building was wiped out and the swimming pool filled with debris, and their wonderful infinity pier was wiped out and is now nothing but posts. I hope it recovers.

Very good hotel for a few days of stay beautiful view and great experience.. As soon as you arrive that wet seaweed smell hits you but it's not bad because after 1 day, your nose adapts to it.. The room was very clean except the shower had no hot water and the shower was very small but otherwise the room was nice and cozy and a fairly big room.. Now there is a vending Machine but it is broken and it eats a dollar and does not accept the next one and then you lose that dollar even if you push the return button Then when you tell them about it they say that it is not theirs and that they will let the "owners" know All in all, amazing experience pool only goes up to 4 ft 6in but why use the pool when you have the ocean and they have kayak rentals

Nice place! Was very accommodating to the fact that we got there late. Very beautiful view and resort area. If you have realistic expectations, this place was perfect for spending a night/morning in the keys. Swimming is not really an option however. Like I said, have realistic expectations. This isn't Hawaii

Great location if you are just using as a base. The egg smell overpowers you the minute you are out of your room. Would be good to have somewhere to hang wet swimming things. Rubbish (trash) on the 'beach' when the tide goes out could be cleared easily if they could be bothered. For the money we paid they could do so much more! The free tiki hut coffee is just an urn of bad-tasting coffee in polystyrene cups. But like I said, it does the job if just using as a base.

For $275 a night, accommodations were unacceptable. Staff was indifferent. We only stayed for 1 night so I wasn't going to make a big deal out of it, but figured I'd mention some of the issues on the way out. Because SURELY they would want to know these easy to resolve problems.but, not so much.
    • blood on the dust ruffle
    • everything was filthy
    •barely working door to room.
    • the handle in the shower was broken, they tried to glue it previously (glue was obvious), which didn't work
    • garbage strewn beach. Like huge pieces of plastic, garbage cans, etc..

The woman who I checked out with insisted I call back and speak with the new manager who "really cares and appreciates feedback".
I realized I had left my "good" pillow at the motel, so I called. The manager said she saw the notes about the room. That is all. She then took my credit card again to charge me so she could return the pillow.

I mean at that point, a little would have gone a long way. But no.

It's a real shame. I have always loved the "mom & pop" places down in the keys, but after the last few years of watching the proprietors not caring at all, just watching the big $ come in until they are bought out.we are going to have to visit alternate means of accommodations moving forward

I loved this place so much. The view here is spectacular and the staff went out of their way to ensure my stay here was perfect. The room was clean and my girl friend thought it was super cute. Walking out on the beach in the morning is simply amazing.

I would give it 5 stars but on the day that I stay I could not rest as well as I wanted because first thing in the morning they started to repair something and there was too much noise to rest and be relaxed. Attention the place is wonderful.the views you have

This resort runs on island time. We got in late (8pm) and they had left our room key for us in the mailbox. My husband had called on the way to ask if they had a crib for our 1 year old and they frankly said no. We didn't get much sleep, but the room was perfect for our young family of 5 (had we had a crib in the room) and it was cute and clean. The view was beautiful, but there wasn't much of a beach. This is ocean view, but not Beach front. The water was thick with crud pretty far out, so I wouldn't say it's functional for swimming. Also, there was a smell of sewage all around the resort. Possibly came from the stagnant ocean water. Overall, it was nice, but our family was looking for a beach with ocean access.

Good rates, nice rooms. Room had a beautiful view of the pool and ocean. Included a stove, fridge, and television too. The beach area is huge, has hammocks and chairs, as well as a long dock to the ocean. The pool was heated, and nice to lay around. Definitely want to go again!

Very Clean, good beds, great service, quiet, relaxing, typical marathon key beach, intimate pool, 2 hammocks, beach chairs, a few tables, nice dock, tiny showerroom, door needs help. The cleanliness and service make up for the deficiencies in other areas.
