Every time I go into a Sears or Kmart store, they have what I am looking for at a fair price. The times I've asked for assistance the associates were always helpful. I don't know why everyone hates on Sears and Kmart.

So bad enough My Kenmore range was so bad Sears gave us credit to replace it. We ordered a GE Profile induction range and waited 3 weeks for delivery, (after Thanksgiving) The stove was loaded on it's side in the truck on top of a refrigerator and it was damaged. (The fault of whoever loaded it.) i GOT A CALL ABOUT THE DELIVERY AND THE PERSON GAVE THE PHONE TO THE PERSON WHO LOADED THE TRUCK AND HE ARGUED WITH ME ABOUT THE DRIVER BEING AT FAULT. Delivery service was top-notch. Our new delivery date is Jan. 11 (after Christmas) and it just a matter of getting it out of the warehouse. That delivery date is unacceptable and , if I could, I would cancel and go elsewhere. I requested a form to report this fiasco and after three attempts, did not get one. CAN YOU DO SOMETHING TO EXPEDITE THIS DELIVERY?????

I applied for an in-home consult using the "GET FREE ESTIMATE" button on their website in order to see what my options are to replace a heat pump system and add an additional zone to the house. The rep arrived 1.5 hours late without calling. He then told me that in order for him to do his 'presentation' my wife had to be there as well I asked why she would need to be present for an estimate, then he told me they "don't do estimates". I said thank you and we would go with someone else. The appointment took 5 minutes and they never tried to do anything to gain my business for a project which could have cost well over 8k. I would not recommend them to change a light bulb.

Sears has drastically changed from the good old sears and Roebuck days when that name was a household word and meant something. Now it's just take your chances sears. Wouldn't advise anyone to try. Because for sure you will loose. Terrible customer warranty customer repair and resolution department. Please save yourself. Any place but sears. Consider yourself WARNED

Worst customer service EVER! I had a technician come out to fix an ice maker. It was making ice but not dispensing. He quoted me $400!! Ouch. He then told me it would be 1/2 price if I signed up for the warranty. If I waited one month ($70) I could cancel. So yes, I'd rather pay $270 than $400. I called today to cancel and they say I need to pay the balance of $160 for the initial repair! That means I'd pay $430 since I paid for a month of a warranty I don't want or need. I called two different numbers and was told to write a letter to Sears Holding Corporation. No operator or manager can waive this fee. I have to pay the 12 months which means I will have paid $1270 for this repair. They said I could dispute the fee and I would be sent to collections! I have an excellent credit rating and I'm not about to let Sears ruin it but buyer beware!!!! This is a company I always thought was solid. Not anymore. I see why they are going down.

We ordered patio furniture from the Rockaway NJ Store on August 31, 2017.
-The furniture was scheduled to be delivered on September 11, 2017 and we received a confirmation call on September 10 that the assembled furniture would be delivered between 11:45am and 1:45pm.
-We (of course) had paid for both delivery and assembly. Sears notably took the money from our account immediately.
-My spouse took a day off from work to accommodate the delivery.
    - On September 11 she received a call that the delivery needed to be rescheduled because of a truck accident. It could not be rescheduled until September 30.
-Today - September 30 - we received a call from Sears Delivery at 6:30am, awakening us on a Saturday morning. The caller told us that he could not deliver our furniture today because only half of the order had been assembled. He told us we would receive a call to reschedule the delivery for Monday, October 2. This requires us to take another day off from work.

-We received a call at 8:40am today. The caller said that they were informed that WE asked for the reschedule because there was not enough room on the truck for our furniture. She told us that there was no availability for Monday. She scheduled us for Tuesday, October 3. We asked to speak to a manager. She said she was a manager and would not pass us on to any other person.
-Note - this is a service that we are paying for. Unacceptable.

AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMANY AT ALL COSTS!!! I advise you to NEVER purchase any additional "Protection Plans" from them if you buy appliances as they will NOT honor them and will give you every excuse in the book as to why you are not eligible for the benefits. I purchased a fridge from them with a customer protection plan that was supposed to cover food loss if anything ever went wrong with the fridge. Well, fridge was delivered and never worked. I called to have a tech come out and look at it. The tech arrived about two weeks later and stated that the oil-less compressor had been compromised and that Sears would have to replace the fridge. Nearly a month later the fridge was replaced, but do you think Sears is willing to cover the food loss claim I submitted?! No! After FOUR MONTHS of submitting and resubmitting the claim and then calling them for follow up (I've probably spent nearly 12 hours on the phone with them) they are denying the claim because THEIR system isn't updated and doesn't have the proper notes in it!!!! So my valid food loss claim is denied because their system isn't updated (really it's because they don't want to pay me the money that is owed to me). They are swindlers who take your money and run! The customer is NEVER right (unlike successful businesses where the customer is always rightor at least allowed to be heard). They have THE W O R S T customer service that I have EVER had the displeasure of experiencing. It's no wonder that the company is going under. I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING from Sears again and will advise all of my family and friends of the same. If there was a way that I could leave less than one star I would! Next website I will be visiting is the Better Business Bureau.

I order a washer and dyer from Sears last week and was have issues with the online system so i called customer service and the representative was not understanding what I was trying to explain to her and I could not get her understand after several attempt to make her understand I finally told her to cancel my order because of the difficulty. So she said she cancelled the order but I didn't receive a confirmation so i called back and the second rep. was a little bitter and she told that she cancelled the ordered as well. Later that I evening I got a email telling that I had to go through the store to cancel the order, call the store several time for the phone to just ring. I guess Sears really don't want my business, I call customer service to fix the problem with the delivery address and to find out why my rewards weren't applied and ended canceling.

Horrendous!! I would advise all who look to purchase anything of significance to SHOP ELSEWHEREWORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I purchased a washer/ dryer set, which was told in store would fit with the specs provided; however, upon delivery they did not fit. This isn't the bad part. Things happen and I am fully aware of that. They took back my appliances and I was given instructions to go to the store to get a different model. Ok, no big deal. I went to the closest store to me. They couldn't help me. I was told to purchase a whole new set, as they could not use the credit I already had for the previous set!?! What?! No. Then I was told to call customer service.what a JOKE!! I was on hold for so long the phone literally disconnected. This happened numerous times over a 3 day period. At this point now I just want a refund.no one can help me with that either! I get transferred to different people, get left on hold, get hung up on for being on hold too long, and call to get vm boxes that are full. 1 week has now passed and have NO items and HAVE NOT GOTTEN A REFUND EITHER!!! The only person of any real value was 1 customer service representative, Sixto, who actually stayed on the phone with me until he got a hold of a live person at a store who he thought should be able to help.he was right, the guy was in the position to help but said "we are closing in 25 minutes so I will call you back tomorrow to solve this"..I really pushed that he help now as 4 days had passed and this was the 1st time I actually was able to talk with someone who could help. He flat out refused because he didn't want to "be stuck at the store too long and had other things to do"ABSURD!!! He took my numberand surprise.NEVER CALLED!!!! It's no wonder these stores are going out of business with service like this.bottom line.STAY AWAY!!!!!!

I tried to get an exchange for a shirt that costed $14. I bought a gray shirt and decided the color blue would be better and more professional for work. I was told by the store managers and representatives that I could not exchange the same shirt for a different color, even though the shirt was brand new and still in its original packaging just because, I was 1 day over the 30 day return period. I'm really upset because all their competitors would have exchanged the shirt and most likely congratulate me on my new job. In all honesty- I CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM TO CLOSE DOWN SO THEY CAN BE REPLACED WITH STORES THAT ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. GOOD-BYE SEARS. YOU WILL NOT BE MISSED.

Purchased a model 377050 mower. After two cuttings, it would not start because Sears and Briggs& Stratton decided people don't need a mower that runs on the gas you buy down the street and they engineered one that runs on their $4.99 per quart fuel. Took it twice to a Sears repair site and the second time they "fixed" it, oil hemorrhaged from it like a sieve. I contacted Sears a a very nice customer service rep set up a home visit from a service tech. Then the tech calls and says they work on riding mowers but can't fix a gasket on a push mower (Gordon Ramsey can't make grilled cheese). I grudgingly take the mower in a third time, when I pick it up, they say they adjusted the valves and changed the oil and it was still leaking oil! I can't get anyone at Sears to give me an answer on getting my money back so I can find a mower that actually will run long enough to cut grass. This bothers me; I used to make tools for Craftsman. To see the disregard for customers and the drop in quality from Sears is disappointing.

I feel like Sears isn't even trying to stay in business at this point. The one thing they have going for them at this point is Craftsman, it is the one part of the company worth anything and they are trying pretty hard to change that. They are making shoddy products with warranties; to fulfil the warranty their technicians are required to do the diagnoses and service. My 16 month old garage door opener that I paid $180 for is covered under warranty but I need to pay Sears $150 to have the warranty honored. Icing on the cake they wasted 2 hours of my time when I called in for the warranty claim.

I purchased a warranty on a Sole Treadmill that I bought from Sears. I was told that this would be very helpful by the salesman. Turns out, every time I call for service, their first available appointment is 2 weeks out. Then, when they realize that they need to order a part, it takes another 2 weeks for a serviceman to come out. On top of that, they often cancel appointments the evening before stating that there is a discrepancy. This time, the first available appointment is 3 weeks out. My feeling is that if you buy a warranty through Sears, they will only come out when they don't have other paying customers. But I paid for my service upfront! I have been a loyal customer of Sears for decades. I will not buy another Sears product or warranty again!
