Did the Reactivate course for an upcoming trip and got to have Frank as my instructor. He was extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and helpful! Got to meet the shop owners, since I did the course at their personal pool, and they were the sweetest folks! Would highly recommend!

As fate would have it my family and I stumbled across this quaint dive shop by sheer accident after searching for Dive Shops near my daughter's apartment. Being From San Antonio, TX, I was unfamiliar with all of the Dive Shops in the area and my daughter was looking to purchase a new regulator and dive computer setup to replace the old system she had been diving with since they were no longer serviceable (yes they were ancient but great regs). As non-teaching PADI MSDT I knew the best bet would be to search for PADI 5 Star facilities and we decided to give Scuba Frisco a visit. We were immediately greeted by Treta Sellers and owner Thorsten Prutz with warm smiles (although hidden by masks they were glad to see us). Treta started showing my daughter the different options of regulators and explained the benefits of each and the cost. She spoke directly to my daughter and did not try to explain things to me which is a big no no if you know my daughter. She wants people to speak directly to her and she will ask me for input only if she wants it. During the time in the shop my son bought a new dive mask and my daughter purchased her first regulator, octo, computer console. And ole Dad ended up purchasing a new travel BC. They had better pricing on their gear than the shops here in San Antonio and earned my business. So Take if from a 30 year PADI Member if you are in/around the DFW area and are looking for a top notch Dive Shop take the time and drive over to SCUBA Frisco.response / report this review -

I have been buying gear through another dive store but they didn't have much inventory so I recently tried Scuba Frisco. What a difference! Lots of choices on gear in stock and very knowledgeable staff to help you at Scuba Frisco.

Maira Thomas is an awesome scuba instructor! I felt fully prepared for my open water dives after my closed water dive with her. She is excellent! Treta Sellers is also wonderful and so encouraging! The staff is amazing!

My two teenagers were both recently certified through Scuba Frisco. They worked hard to accommodate our tight schedule for certification as we were headed to Florida in the following few weeks and wanted to do some diving with the kids. Maira Thomas, their pool instructor was AWESOME. She was extremely thorough and very friendly. Both kids really enjoyed working with her and I felt like they received excellent instruction regarding safety. They completed the lake portion of their certification with Dustin Palmer, who was wonderful as well. He gave them a lot of positive feedback and made them feel at ease in the water. We could not have had a better experience!

I did all my certification training with Maira Thomas. From Advanced Open Water Diver, to Rescue Diver, Nitrox training to my Dive Master Certification. I could not have asked for a more professional, fun, friendly and patience instructor. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Maira and Scuba Frisco. She always gave me the personal attention I needed even though there was a group of us. She gave me the confidence to succeed seamlessly and really made me feel like a part of the family. If you are reading this, you MUST visit the shop and ask for Maira. It will be the best decision you’ve made this year! Thank you again to Maira and Scuba Frisco. I’m a customer for life!

First rate team of scuba experts that make the entire experience from learning how to dive to selecting your equipment very fun. Always there to provide guidance and help with all your questions. We are lucky to have a dive shop of this caliber in Frisco.

Scuba Frisco has an impressive selection of quality gear and a very knowledgable owner to help explain the options. The equipment I selected with Thorsten's help has worked very well. I decided to take the basic open water course with Dale as my instructor, and could not have been more pleased with how patient and thorough his instruction was. This is a first class operation.

Everyone at Scuba Frisco was very helpful. Both my EFR course with Gloria and my Rescue Diver course with Bill were awesome. Both instructors were patient, knowledgeable and made it an enjoyable learning experience! Every diver should take the Rescue Diver course. It's so valuable and actually really fun! Also, thanks to Jeff and Thorsten for helping me with my gear. They're both extremely knowledgeable, plus Jeff answered my 20,000 questions via e-mail. :) Legend. Look no further than Scuba Frisco for your dive courses.

I am happy to say that I received excellent care and instructions from Scuba Frisco Sports. From the minute I stepped in the shop, Jeff was there to answer all my questions. As one person said before on another review, check your feelings at the door. Jeff will give it to you straight. I like that about him. There are no grey areas. He is direct, to the point and thorough. Above that, he takes the time that you need to understand the basics and fundamentals. I trained in the pool with Erich. He was top notch and very entertaining. If you have a chance to train with him, DO IT! He, as well, was very thorough and takes the time needed with each student to make sure that each student knows what they are doing. He was such a good instructor that all 7 students in the class I was in got everything right on the first try. I was unable to train at the lake with Erich and I was nervous about that. I felt a sense of comfort with Erich, that I was weary about training with someone else. Boy did I get lucky! I trained in the lake with Bruce. He takes scuba training very seriously and much like Jeff and Erich, was very thorough and taught with real life scenarios. I was in a very small lake class and it made it feel like a one on one lesson. Bruce made you feel very comfortable in the water (it was FREEZING - I went in early May, Dallas had just set a record for the lowest night in May ever the night before). His instructions in and out of the water were very clear and concise and made training almost effortless! I can not say enough good things about Scuba Frisco Sports. If you want to learn the practice of scuba diving, this is the place to do it at!
