Super fun. You can feed flamingos from your hand, as well as pigs and goats. Swans are assholes. You can hold parrots, pet opossum, view alligators. Had a blast.

I love this place. My parents took me here as a kid and now I am doing the same for my kids. Very beautiful scenery at this place. Cool shows, place is very well kept and the price is great. They have a wide variety of animals for you to view, and it has a very relaxed feel. Great for adults and kids alike.

Oh my gosh so much fun for such a killer price!
Staff was awesome! Very friendly. Bird show was super cool to watch! Cant wait to go back!

Quite expensive for what you get. A stinking alligator enclosure, some parrots and flamingos. $16 for senior citizen. $18.00 regular adult admission. Reptile house closed. Only one bird show a day, which we missed. The only saving grace was the big bird experience. Wouldn't go back.

This was a very enjoyable place to visit. Loved feeding the Ibis and flamingos right from our hands. It would have been nice to have been told when buying the tickets that large sections of the place were closed off still for hurricane cleanup. Or at least received a discounted price for it. But still a very nice place.

Today was the first day they were open since Hurricane Irma. They offered 50% off Admission which i thought at first was great. However nowhere online did they state all the excibits that are not even open and walk ways that are still closed. They should have not even reopened yet. This visit was truly disappointing and a joke. The flamingos were out and the parrots. Couple turtles and 3 gators. Everything else was closed. It literally would take you 15 min to walk thru. To even ask 9 dollars admission is not justified and they should be ashamed. Very disappointing experience.

Nice place for kids to play and adults to relax.
No matter how many times I go there it is always exciting. I love it that it's never crowded. My favorite are the flamingos. My kids always enjoy feeding them. I definitely recommend this place.response / report this review -

A very nice garden / zoo. Most of the animals are rescued or donated. You have many opportunities to feed, take photos and interact with a few of the animals. The animals look like they are well cared for and the environment is in fairly good conditions. Prices are fair enough, we had a good time and would come again.

It is well kept, and the staff is friendly. There are so many cool animals there. It almost looked like a python could get out, and the chameleon was cool. I enjoyed feeding animals like flamingos or turtles. If you intend on feeding animals though, bring lots of quarters. I thought it was very cool how you can hold birds. It is worth a second visit.

Staying in AMI looking for something to do and we chose this. My family loved it! My kids got told an Alligator and a Snake which made them very happy! I like how beautiful this zoo is and well designed the path through the jungle is. One of the highlights was getting to hand feed the flamingos. I've never seen one up close, let alone inches from it! Great experience and not too expensive. I would recommend this and the Mote aquarium any day if you are in Anna Maria Island.

Went in with an open mind but was sorely disappointed & heartbroken. Animals were kept in very filthy & SMALL areas. These animals deserve to be released to better facilities that have more funding / room to rehabilitate these animals. This place exploits their creatures for pictures & shows. The staff doesn't seem cruel or evil, and probably just really love being around lemurs & baby alligators, but they are ill informed if they think crocodiles belong in tiny fenced in pools. The reptile area was HORRIBLE. Again; very dirty & way too minuscule for many of the larger snake breeds. No employees were in sight, leading me to believe that they are easily forgotten / neglected. Saw birds & baby alligators kept inside cages with no wiggle room and kept off to the side for $10 pictures. Overall, just a mess & very sad to witness. These animals belong somewhere where they will be handled properly & *ideally* released back to their natural habitats. Please do not visit here.

This place is awesome! You can feed the gators or feed the flamingos. You can have you're picture taken with several animals and birds, there's nice paved walkways and lots of shady spots to sit and rest or watch the animals. The cafe has a lot of lunch stuff to choose from but we just got popcorn and drinks. We've gone a couple times now and will continue to go. Lots of fun!

A fantastically amazing place , just simply beautiful from the moment you walk in you are in another world.
My only advice is to Leave the phone in the car and escape to a far nicer place and soak up the magic of - Jungle Gardens.
I was truly Amazed and impressed at the fantastic bird area and how truly free they are.
I love this place especially to unwind in the jungle and forget about the outside world.response / report this review -

This is actually a 5 star attraction. I put up one star so it can be read with the negative reviews. I live one mile away and I visit this place with my grandchildren. The employees are gracious and dedicated. The alligators live in a comfortable setting consider what they would have to deal with in the wild in Mayacca State park. Many of the animals are rescued injured animals that will be returned to the wild when they recover. Although they say it is 10 acres, this may include the parking lot which fills to capacity often showing how popular this place really is. It is an honor to have this facility in our neighborhood.

Everyone was very nice, grounds are well maintained. Animals all look healthy but if you are sensitive to animals in small exhibits, this probably isn't the place for you. Some exhibits were small, some small with lots of animals inside. Didn't see a ton of enrichment items but maybe that was the time of day. It was fun to feed the flamingos and they could move about freely. Definitely a kid friendly place.
