Good zoo. Animals nicely displayed. Food at African Outpost is good and reasonably priced for this type venue. Keepers and Docents always willing to share their knowledge. Can be hilly walk once you go to lower level.

We love our zoo. It's not very big, but it is beautiful and there are a wide variety of animals. We have had a membership ever since we had kids, and it is the perfect afternoon trip. In the summer, my son absolutely loves the water park! It's small enough that you can keep an eye on your kids, but there are tons of activities in there! The Louisville Zoo is also a great conservation zoo. We are proud to support it!

Fun place to go with a family or friends. The exihabits are well kept and all animals are usually on display. They have a neat splash pad for the kids and you can bring in your own food to have a picnic. Just beware they do have wild geese that are not afraid of you and will come close if you have food out around them.

Whether you are young or old or anywhere in between this zoo offers plenty for all to enjoy. I always bring my camera because you never know what the animals are going to do in front of you. They offer movie nights during the summer months that all can enjoy. Membership is a great way to enjoy the zoo all throughout the year.

Overall not a bad Zoo I rated it 4 stars because the animals that were there were very active in seemed to be very visible and interesting to look at. I would have probably given it 5 stars but many animals were not where they should be because they were doing maintenance and there are a lot of closed exhibits. The hardest part about this zoo is really understanding the flow and how to go around it. Even with a map it's kind of hard to understand which path will take you to where you want to go, and buildings that look closed we're actually exhibits that were open. They just need to have better signage for their guests.

Great zoo. I really enjoy going here. It's small enough to enjoy everything and they took good care of the animals. Also help a lot of endangered species. Layout is nice as well, and sprinklers and water park in the summertime!

The Louisville Zoo is a longtime favorite place for my kids and I to spend quality family time. The zoo continuously improves exhibits and activities, and has a decent variety of animals. One of my favorite recent additions is the Wings of the World bird show, which has run the last couple of summers. The annual membership is a good value for people who live locally.

This is one of the most interactive zoos I have ever been to! We feed the giraffes, rode a camel and had an elephant encounter!! It's very clean! I love how close to the animals we were! Such a cool zoo!

We always enjoy the zoo, but I have 3 kids so we rarely do extras to save money. I took just my youngest and did lots of extras and it was such a special day. Great train ride, $4 all day pass for the carousel and a camel ride (that could have been 2 laps for $5!)

The best zoo I've visited. Wide variety of animals. Always clean and friendly staff. They have parks including a water area within the zoo, carousel, tram, picnic pavilions, restaurants, camel rides, ropes adventure course. My nephew was lost during our last visit. The staff worked quickly to locate him.

I have always loved this zoo with all my heart! The keepers love the animals like their own children, always striving to make inporvements in their care. It's been a while since the zoo opened so some of the exhibits are outdated but they have plans to build new exhibits and are always moving toward their master design for the zoo. I worked there this last year and fell more in love with the zoo than ever. The keepers would show me pictures of the animals like parents would show their children. I've been to prettier zoos and perhaps zoos with more animals but the Louisville zoo will always reign in my heart. And honestly it has a ton of animals, not sure how you can say it doesn't.

Good size, lots of animals. Great place to walk around, get some fresh air & see some cool animals. They also had a special Halloween set up for the kids all throughout the zoo when we were there, so they do fun things for kids too.

The Louisville Zoo is one of the best gems in town. The grounds are fairly large and there is a huge variety of animals to see and interact with. I've never eaten anything but a snack on premise, but they do have restaurants and options on site, as well as the expected gift shop. The membership has been a great value for our family as we can go as much as we please with free parking.

My family had a wonderful time here! The shows are nice, the animals are beautiful and look well taken care of. The staff are super friendly, and the shows are great.
They have a neat little water park for the kids to go okay and cool down after walking in the heat. My daughter loves the entire experience.
The only downside was, half of the food places were closed the day we went. I don't know if this is common, or because we chose to go on a Friday. Admission price is a little high, but you're going to spend 2+ hours in there, so I'm not complaining too much.
