Worst experience ever… The owner needs to work on his customer service skills and how he talks to people. Between the price gouging and extremely unfriendly atmosphere, I suggest you stay far away from here.

Beautiful setting, Redwood trees abound. Camp sites are excellent with full hookups. Facilities are excellent. Definitely returning for more fun and relaxation.

We spent two weeks within this campground.

Pros: Campground is located within the Redwoods, close to Roaring Camp Railroad and Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. Laundry room was clean (inside), but the exterior building needs some work. Cable TV provided worked well.

Cons; Wi-Fi constantly down. On one weekend, we only had access Wi-Fi late Sunday night. It was down the rest of the time. Wi-Fi also seems to go down nightly. Many campers were long term, and these RV’s appeared rough, which presented a negative look on the park. Many buildings within the park were falling apart. Campfire? Well, you must "rent" a self-contained fire-pit from the office. Restrooms/Showers need much updating. No satellite reception due to tall trees.

Maybe a con to some: We thought being shaded by the trees would be nice, but it was always damp and gloomy, and our trailer slides and awning were filled with tree droppings.

Personnel: Manager or Owner "Larry?” was very rude, as we decided to leave early (one day). We provided this notice over a week before said date. Manger/Owner explained all sales are final. No refunds. He did decide to refund the one day, but he thought it was important to school us on their policy again, huff and puff, explaining this will not happen again. WoW! We did pay for 2 weeks. Did we ask for any refund when we checked in and discovered the rec room and club house were not available? No. Did we educate the park manager/owner that only half of the listed features were available? No. A simple thank you for your business, a "brief" explanation about their policy and completing a refund would generate more repeat business.

We are currently on a 2 year adventure taking our RV throughout the US, and have been RV'ing for many years. Therefore, we have an idea between high-standard qualities and poor quality. This campground is in need of much TLC. Don't be deceived by the photos on their website or listed amenities.

Beautiful scenic RV park close to Santa Cruz! We had to move to a different spot a the last minute (someone was broken down in ours)and were given a discount for doing sogreat business practices! Staff were nice and site was nicely kept. The 9:30p quiet time didn't seem to matter to folks around us or on the other side of the park as back to back nights had revelers well past this time. But that's the nature of camping with groups of people I suppose. Everyone around us was nice and we all had a great time and would be happy to return.

We loved it! clean restrooms, showers, wash house, Just across from the Roaring Camp RR and close to Santa Cruz. Breakfast in their cafe on the weekend was very good. We are going back this year.

Had a great site. The park was clean and bathroom facilities were excellent. The staff was very cordial and friendly. Will definitely stay again if I arrive during daylight hours. Night driving to the grounds would not be my idea of fun with a Class A. Only disappointed was a poor cable station selection, but definitely not a deal breaker

We stayed here during the last weekWITH OUR DOGSand had a great time. Great clean well run pet friendly park with a very helpful staff. When seeing the review about no dogs we were confused so we called the park for clarification. Its seems that the only restriction is for folks staying either in the tent section or in a tent pavilion. Totally understand cause we know that in a tent most dogs will hear everything including wildlife that may pass through and so they end up barking throughout the night. So it is a reasonable rule that shows some consideration for all of the other guests in the park making for a VERY quite night. We will be back!

We used to stay here all the time. Called to confirm my our reservation since we never received email confirmation at their "pavilion" site and mentioned we had dogs and was told no dogs allowed. We have always brought our dogs and never had a problem. When I said we needed to cancel, which is more than a week in advance, I was told there was a $10/cancellation charge and that the info is on their website. We have stayed here all the time - as do our friends. I'm sure one person's comment will not affect them but I will for sure be letting our other friends know who stay here all the time.
