  If I could give ZERO stars, I would! I visited this salon like I have many times before for a silk press, but this time I went with my sister and niece. We are all Black women and have natural, curly/kinky hair, ranging from 3b to 4a. While we were there, my young niece (who speaks fluent Spanish) heard many remarks made by the stylists as they talked amongst themselves in Spanish, insulting us saying things like our hair is like a piece of wood and that people like us (aka black women) constantly have to be told to turn our heads a certain way, etc. There was another Black woman there as well who was a bit heavy set in which they also made disgusting comments about her because of her hair texture and her size, calling her a truck multiple times. They smiled in her face and insulted her in Spanish. I was made aware of all of this after we left but made a point to call the salon to express my extreme disappointment and disgust. I will never be coming back to this salon after that awful experience. Thank God my niece came with me or else I'd still be oblivious to the racist, anti-Black remarks being made by these people. Disgusting!!!

  I had a day to think about this and process my thoughts. This was my 2nd time at this location. The first time I paid $45( I went back through my bank transactions) and this time I was charged $60. When I asked her why ,she stated $35 and up for permed hair and $45 and up for natural. I told her I am not natural at all. She gave me this look like I was lying. I’m not sure why she even thought I was natural because I showed up and my hair was straight, when they washed my hair not once did my hair curl up. I’m not sure where she pulled that I’m natural from. Then she proceeded to ask me who do my perms and I replied” I do.” She then told me that I do more damage by doing my own perm. I have been perming my own hair since I was 16. I wish I could show a picture or how long and healthy my hair is. NO SALON has ever told me that. Needless to say she still charged me $60 for NATURAL hair. I would’ve understood more if she said for the length of your hair. I will never go back here. Be sure to ask the price prior to them starting your hair.

  They have the best service. Such friendly service. I get some many compliments on my hair from people every time I go to them. Josie was so nice she made me feel at home. They have become my permanent hair stylist!!

  Naomi gave me a bad hair cut and ruined my hair. Most of the other ladies that washes hair are pretty RUDE..I do a rinse and perm once in a while and each time the price is different. Awful customer service. I wouldn't recommend this shop. They Always over charge customers..I only went because it said New York Style. It's nothing compared to Newyork.

  Went in for my 1st hair cut with someone new in a long time .At first I was very scared because I normally don't trust my hair with anyone AT ALL. But the owner did a great job with my thick curly hair and SLAYED the hair trim and the olaplex treatment 👌🏾
  My hair has not been this healthy and vibrant in ages. 10/10 would recommend. Definitely going back!!
