Great selection of a variety of amazing Japanese foods as well as sake wines. Affordable prices and located down the stairs from the main street. Cozy place but generally a wait in the evening which is totally worth it

Food was great, good prices, but the inside is tiny/packed and it was pretty hot inside. Fun place with a group of friends though. Expect a long wait. We had party of 6 and waited about an hour.

Great food - sizzling and crispy fried chicken, delicious steaming okonomiyaki, and juicy and moist tofu. You'll want to come early to get a spot, and bring many people so you can order a bit of everything. I recommend the veggie skewers!

Great food and decent price. The wait can be pretty long so get there early and put your name down. I'm a big fan of the omelette over pork pan fried noodles, something unique that you can't really find at most Japanese restaurants. Although they have all types of food, their specialty rolls are quite good!

Amazing place located in a very content niche in the heart of Times Square. We visited this place after reading the reviews on Google and it has lived up to every bit of its praise. Great food - loved the Japanese Cuisine, polite and great service and absolutely pocket friendly with pretty good quantity portions for all the items we ordered. To top it, the ambience is pretty cool with a great wibe and perfect if you want to enjoy with your friends without burning a hole in your pocket. I absolutely recommend this place !!

Great Japanese restaurant. Afordable and food is really good! Many locals go there and can be busy so you might need a reservation. Careful it the door on the left and you go downstairs ;)

Amazing place. I have lived in Japan for some months in Tokyo, and eating there totally reminded me all the Japanese dishes I used to eat over there. And it is not so expensive compared to some fancy Japanese izakaya that you can find in Japan.
If you're in NY and love Japanese food, this place is a must.

This is the most authentic Japanese restaurant in the states I have ever been to. When I saw a lot of Japanese eating inside, I knew I hit the jackpot. The price is very reasonable. My sake was $6 a bottle. I don't think I can get it at this price in a store. The serving size is big and sashimi is super fresh. The octopus salad is delicious. I will absolutely be back.

This is my go to place in Manhattan for Yakitori and late night bites in general. I absolutely love this place. It may have a wait bit the wait is so worth it. Out of the many places I have been in this city I always walk out happy here. The Sapporo is cold and not to expensive. The rest of the menu does not break the bank either. Make sure you head to the downstairs location. I always find a seat at the bar as I think it's the best experience. Make sure to get the Okonomiyaki when your there!

Love the food and drink here. As a non-native I can't compare it locally. But can't find a place like this in Virginia or DC. This is my go to place for late night in NYC (closes 3am).

This place is a gem. We were able to get some cheap unfiltered sake so close to Times Square! It was the cheapest strongest stuff on the menu but ~$30 later and 3 bottles in me and my two friends got more than our money's worth. There are plenty of cheap food options and everything tasted great. And there are plenty of more expensive options for other tastes. I'm just really excited that we found a good filling meal and drinks downtown without having to take out a mortgage on my house!
Service was extremely friendly and we had a fantastic time! This place is hard to find but so worth it!

Wonderful variety of sake. Not cheap. Affordable small plates. Great variety of food and drinks. They also carry Japanese beer and whiskey. Vibrant atmosphere. Will go back again!
