While having booked a vacation with spinnaker vacations I had had to call into customer service to get some answers for questions I had and I had the pleasure of having Miss Lewis answer the phone. She was very polite and professional. She quickly answered my questions and offered me compensation and worked to satisfy me. And she did a wonderful job and didn't pressure me to buy more. I thought she gave a star to her company in the way she treated me and the respectful treatment I received.
Thank you Laura
I don't typically take time to write reviews but with a recent experience, I needed to.
I had an unresolved issue that spanned almost a month. I was finally able to get a respectable, honest, and urgent response from Sharon Lewis. She went above and beyond.
Had it not been for her assistance this review would have been totally different.
Sharon Lewis was amazing and took great care of me. I am preparing to donate bone marrow and had to reschedule my trip. Sharon exemplified great customer service and empathy for my situation.
Thank you Sharon and thank you spinnaker resorts for having the best customer service.

We just arrived this evening to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. Wow!! What a disappointment to see what we were told was going to be a resort. This is not even close. Ive stayed in nicer, more up to date motels then SR. Trust me, everyone in this company on up will hear from me. You cannot reel us in, promise us a resort stay and get away with it. We drove all the way from Michigan, for a complete let-down.

I want to thank Sharon Lewis for all of her help in securing our vacation time at the Spinnaker resort in Hilton head island. There was an issue with what was promised to me by the sales rep., this had nothing to do with Sharon. I was initially promised a 3 night 4 day stay at Ormond beach, Florida. When I tried to reserve this spinnaker resort for the time they promised me it was not available. Instead of a condo they tried to stick us in a motel. This is truly a shameful way to conduct business. Well thank again to Sharon Lewis for being a bright spot in this ordeal. She is in my book a real good example for a company that doesn't adhere to their promises. Thank you again Sharon.
I am not real choosy person but I have to say this SR Hotel needs some improvement. As place where many Spinnaker Resort timeshare presentation guests invited to stay it really has a very bad first impression of the business. I killed a bug the first night I stayed there so you know the rest my stay was clouded by that. We had the King Exective suite but we had no provacy for the occupants. My wife and i shared a bed right beside our daughter on a sofa pull out bed. If she wanted to sleep we had to either go outside or go to sleep as well. The lighting was poorvery dimsometimes creepy. The area is nicethe grounds are nice compared to the rooms. It's not the end of the world bad but it can stand some over hauling since they aren't building anymore resorts on the island. Their partner resorts are really nice..but this is the poor step child hopefully one day they can give it an Cinderella story. Oh the internet connection was non existent in our room although it was an outer room near the building entrance. That sucked.
Not the room we were promised when we booked. There were roaches. The room is antiquated and a overdue for a major facelift, especially since this is where visitors to the resort properties are paved because of lack of inventory I the resort market here. Even if your property doesn't have space in its condos or beach houses, make sure that your hold over space is a reflection of the quality of your properties and of the level of commitment to bringing in new owners into a your vacation/ travel program.
Everything is nice. The room is relatively large, clean and quiet, with a microwave and mini fridge. The people are pleasant. The room needed two items and the response was immediate. Don't plan on much for breakfast, muffins, tea and coffee.
Not good. Grungy rooms that smell pretty awful Like previously water-damaged and sanitized? Mold present in one of our rooms. Grounds are okay. Pool is fine. Breakfast is donuts and muffins. Wifi is terrible. Fairly close to beach, so that's a plus. Would not return though.
There are many misleading negative reviews that you should pay no attention to. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the grounds and pool are immaculate and well cared for. We had 2 double adjoining rooms. There were no odors or problems and everything, including the staff was perfectly fine - above standard. Nice size refrigerator, microwave and great balconies the glass was so clean I walked into it!
NOTE: you can walk directly to the beach in about 5 minutes straight behind the tennis courts. There is a public access sidewalk you can even bike on right straight across from the road that the driveway behind the tennis courts ends at. Don't drive to Coligny a few blocks north- your location is perfect and the uncrowded beach is awesome!
The hotel was super clean. It was an awesomely relaxing place to stay!
Only good if you need a place to lay your head. Went here with a Spinnaker Resort Vacation package to view timeshares. Dont do it!!
Stayed two nights for a timeshare presentation. The rooms are dated, but the location is nice. Would probably not return.
Clean room. That's about the only positive. TV is not in HD. Internet does not work, even after numerous calls to the front desk. Simular room to a days inn.
This is a basic hotel, a bit dated and showing its age, but clean and well-maintained. the rooms are smallish and feel crowded with two queen beds, a desk and chair, and an additional chair. The rooms have a small refrig, a very small coffee maker, and a microwave oven. The motel isn't located on the water, so there are no grand ocean vistas. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk. The WiFi was mostly reliable, with a speed of 3.5 Mb/s up and down. The complex has a large, very nice outdoor pool. On cold or rainy days, there's an indoor heated pool, but it's in a dimly lit building and there's no space around it for a chair, so don't expect to lounge around the pool with the New York Times. The outdoor hot tub was turned off during my visit (Nov, 2016). The gym is especially nice, with a large selection of exercise machines. The motel is a two-story building without an elevator, so ask for a ground-floor room if you have mobility problems. The lobby of the main building, 50 yards away, has good coffee and bad pastries each morning. No newspapers are available.
