Contemporary hotel with great prices and location. Several sized rooms and options not far from the beach. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have recently been renovating and looking even better, love the faux wood floors a much better option for a sandy beach. TV with HBO and excellent free WiFi.

The hotel was great. Staff was okay at best. The manager was very nice though! The rooms were really nice for the price! Overall it was a decent stay.

Do not stay here if you don't have too. The rooms smell like mold and the staff will stare at you and your daughters while trying to swim and not in a good way. Other guests were taking pictures of my daughter she is 3. The male manager gave my friend beer in the pool area after we were told no alcohol by an older woman manager because the cops will ticket us a thousand dollars. Some of the guests were very harassing looking in thru your door or Windows any chance they got. Followed me and my daughter if we even walked to our car and back to our room. Was asked multiple times if I wanted to buy drugs. The rooms are small and for the price unimpressive And very dirty. The male manager hassled my group when we were trying to check out and leave because we did not get off the grounds fast enough. He threatened us with calling the police which we would have gladly spoke with because he was becoming aggressive towards us when we were just packing up and leaving. The rooms also HAVE ROACHES! my group found at least 5 or 6. People who "live" there full time said that 10 or more can get in your room if you leave the door open for to long GROSS. The cleaning ladies stole money and didn't even clean or change bedding. They only took the trash did not exchange towels unless we asked them too. This place is trash just like the service. Do not stay here!

Inexpensive in comparisons to other hotels in the arearooms were small and amenities that were common in other hotels lacked here. But I was out enjoying HH and the hotel sufficed for my sleeping needs. Staff was very cordial and friendly.

This place is a dump! Check the picture, water treatment plant directly behind gives a constant swamp gas smell. The maintenance man is creepy, he will stalk your woman around! He walked into our room cause the door was cracked?! Day shift management is horrible! Nothing good here at all! Save your $$$ and keep your woman happy by never staying here!

If you need an inexpensive (compared to other choices) place to sleep in this, this is your place. Does have a nice pool. Marginal complimentary breakfast. Some of the staff are very helpful. It is distant to much of the island activity but is on a good road.

I'm giving this 2 stars because their Maintenance guy is awesome, otherwise it would be 0. We arrived and immediately noticed that the AC wall unit interior was totally covered in black mold. I'm not sure how this went unnoticed for weeks or months, I assume. However, the maintenance guy came, replaced the cover, which really didn't do anything, but said he would put a brand new unit in, in the morning. He did. He was awesome. He gave us a bunch of suggestions where to stay, super great guy, very helpful. He gets all the stars. Unfortunately we also found a used condom under the bed, and overall were pretty disgusted with the room, bathroom, and facilities. Sure, it's cheap(er), but for almost $150 / night I'm pretty sure they can afford to pay their CEO less and pay their maintenance guy more so he can get those AC units clean. Don't stay here. Just stop by and talk to the Maintenance guy. He knows all the good spots to visit.

For the price and location it wasn't bad at all. Fairly clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and willing to help. Free WiFi was solid. I do wish the room had a fridge and a nicer shower.

We have stayed at Red Roof Inn on Hilton Head Island for over 5 years. We always loved the simplicity, acceptance of pets and price. This past Spring break we stayed for 2 nights. We were very disappointed. As soon as we entered it smelled nice but roaches crawled out of the AC, the mini fridge, and in the bathroom. Yuck! I also saw a baby roach on my son's bed. Freak out!! Last time we will stay there. The condos are about the same price anyway if you use HomeAway to reserve it!! So disappointed RRI!!!

Good value for the Island. Convenient location. Plenty of dining close by. The king rooms have nice sized desks for working. Nice flatscreen TV. Plenty of contractors stay here, but the property is quiet nonetheless. Good seafood restaurant and great bar b q joint right next door. You can walk to both.

This Red Roof could use some updating. With that being said. it was still clean, cozy, and conveniently located. Reasonable rates for the area. I would stay again.

Simple but clean rooms. I brought my dog with me and they were very cool about it. No extra cost for the dog. Can't leave them in the room alone but I didn't plan on doing that anyway. Gas station and breakfast place in short walking distance.
