Waitress is very nice and restaurant is tidy. Food is good. So glad to see a ryans still open. Sure do ♡ryans!!

If there was a zombie apocalypse, this would be the place you'd want to eat. Whatever that means, I'm not really sure. The place was tidy, the staff was friendly and the food was at the right temperature. But food quality varied from appetizing to overcooked and mushy to something that might have been reheated from the day before and was beyond mushy. It's good for the price. Salad bar was the best part of our meal.

Had the buffet clean and fresh. Staff was very pleasant and they were very prompt to your requests. Exterior was clean as well as the other areas in the restaurant. Bathroom was very orderly. They even have extra rooms for private parties or meetings.

The service was very poor. The dessert bar was almost completely empty and no cookies and no ice cream either. Couldn't get a water refill till we were done. Had to ask cashier for rolls, and plates were all over table, saw waitress once at end of meal, will have to think about returning. Today a thumbs down for sure.

My family and I stopped this evening on our way home. Very nice and we thought the food was very good. The male waiter that we had this evening was just excellent and he helped make it a very pleasant meal.

Was not all that. Dessert bar was not good at that. Tryed 3 different desserts something was wrong with all 3. Potato salad was hard potatoes. Broccoli salad tasted sour. And then the broiled fish was like chewing on a hockey puck. Nasty

The employees were kind and excellent service except the food. Steak very chewy meatloaf not very tasteful. But their mashed potatoes were the best I had and their salad bar was excellent.

A little on the getting-rundown side, but most of the food was decent and the staff was friendly. Oddly, the desserts were probably the weakest link in the meal. The salad was fresh and the hot sides were good. Most of the meats were good, but the ends of the pork roast were super dry and shouldn't have been served.

Well it started out wonderful, food an services where excellent. Until I got ready to leave. I saw a Manger so I approached her an asked " y'all should have a bell at d door , people could ring it for good service as I was eatting a ice cream cone, her remark was" You suppose to pay before you eat. I said really!!!!. I'm trying to give the store a thumbs up, but others where an walking with ice cream but wasn't asked that ??????? Wonder Y

For a buffet we were pleasantly surprised. They do a good job of making sure there is food for everyone. Everything from tacos and pizza to mashed potatoes and chicken. The salad bar was fresh and extensive. Desert bar if you choose to finish your meal with something sweet. Service was very good. Our waitress kept our water glasses full and brought rolls to the table. Cleanliness seems to be an issue at buffets, this was not a problem. I'm giving Ryan's a 4☆ rating because there is always room for improvement. $17.99 party of 2 at lunch

We went for our annual visit to Ryan's in Effingham and it was a less than desired experience once again. Bryan our waiter was very pleasant and apologized on 3 different times during our visit. We were there on a prime dinner time and they had no dinner rolls until we we're finished with dinner. The bread pudding had to be removed with a chisel bcas it was so dried and stuck to the pan. This place is deteriorated badly since our visit last year. Would not recommend to anyone.

Horrible !! Disgusting and poor. We stopped on a Sunday afternoon. Garlic chicken was raw. Ham looked like it was carved by a 5 yr old. Meatloaf was very bland and undercooked. Taco meat was cold. Salad bar was scattered all over. Desserts had been sitting til dry. Most pans were empty when I asked if they were going to bring out more they said it wasn't time. Will NEVER eat here ever again !

Friendly staff, always willing to go the extra distance to make your visit great. 3 hot food buffet tables, 2 fresh salad buffet tables and a dessert table. Soft serve in both chocolate & vanilla. Our favorite place to go in Effingham.

Absolutely deplorable !! Macaroni tasted like they dropped a bag of salt in it, dressing was mushy and salty , one soda was $2.29 . A member of the serving staff stood talking to a customer and showing pictures on his camera the whole time we were there (45 minutes) . The facility itself was a disgrace! It was filthy on the floor around the ice cream machine and there was a sour odor around it . The men's restroom door was broken and would not stay closed and the stall was filthy with urine all around it and they just went in and supposedly cleaned it ! All in all it was a terrible and disgusting experience and I told my wife to NEVER let me pick Ryans again !!
