There bone in ribeye is the best in the city. The service is second to nun. Always consistent.
Have eaten here twice. Both times food was delicious and perfect. They do have a small kids menu that you can request. So loved the Thanksgiving Menu for today.
$40 dollars for a $9 dollar bottle of wine! I cant even see why you would spend this much on a steak.they don't even have Kobe! I've tried the one in CLT, STL and now BHM. Over priced for what you get. Go to an exclusive restaurant instead. Not worth a chain..
Restaurant , Food, Service All excellant!
Mary K. And David Ritz are the best servers ever!!
Don't miss this awesome experience at this awesome restaurant!!
I made the reservation for our anniversary and they have this neat little thing where you can specify the occasion and so I put anniversary. At the end when we were through they bought out a slice of pie and a scoop of ice cream on a plate that said happy Anniversary in chocolate it was so sweet. Our waiters name was Juan he was great. Checked in with us, refilled water if we needed it, and just made sure everything was fine. You should definitely eat here if you haven't been before. It was my first time but I will definitely go back!
My husband and I love eating here!! My favorite place!! But sad the farmers market salad has not been on menu in a long time!! It is the kind of salad you would expect from this place!! Oh and the coffee is OMG best I've ever tasted anywhere by far!!!!! The steak is amazing and so is the sweet potato casserole!!! Always have great service except on the 4th this yr. our waitress was well not friendly or real helpful!! Hate to say that but not used to it here!!
Jon our waiter was outstanding. But most of all was the porter house steak for 2 was out of this world delicious. I couldn't believe how good this steak was. But Ruth's Chris seared steaks are in a class of their own anyways.
Frank Stitt, famous U.S. chef is manning the kitchen here and it shows. We made what we called a Birmingham hat trick on our visit and ate at all three of his restaurants. Bottega was, by far, the superior food. The chef checked the dining room several times during our meal, a good sign. Our waitress was a bit of a ditz, maybe she was new, she forgot the bread totally and had a strange attitude, but the food carried the day. The room is lovely, with his signature quirky lady's room.
Great service, wonderful food, great drinks. Mike D is a wonderful server, Chris and the others that helped with serving were great. Bartenders know their stuff. Highly enjoyable night. Will be coming back again.
We dined here for our wedding dinner and had a wonderful experience! The seared tuna was the best I've ever had! The manager gave his congratulations and the chef made us a special desert. Our waiter Juan made sure everything was perfect and was very polite and professional! Thank you for making this a great memory to our day! We plan on making this our yearly anniversary place!
One star because the bartender was friendly and helpful. I'm sorry, but this is the most overpriced place in the entire city. 1 single jack & coke was over $14. The lowest priced steak on the menu was $46. There was one for $115 (!!!). And that is A La Carte! If you want a salad, add $14 more. Side of mashed potatoes with that? Another $9. Throw in a vegetable, and, well, you get the idea.
Very good atmosphere but, in my opinion, not worth the price. Food is acceptable but if you have a basic understanding of a grill you can cook a better steak. I would rather cook my own romantic dinner than spend a $100 a person for this. If you can't cook or grill and have money to make up for it, then go ahead. Just remember, it's your preference.
Very sophisticated, nice and clean. Professional wait staff as well. The only thing that I would change would be the price. I understand this is very upscale and they have a certain crowd they want to attend but if they would lower just a notch, it would bring in a whole different group of people that are still well mannered citizens. Its the middle class people that you are going to make your money with. Because we want upscale but want to be able to afford it. Birmingham is mostly middle class so think about that profit margin!
