I'm a big fan!
First, their cocktails are excellent and they have a very good selection of beers, both on draft and in bottles, including some unusual selections.
The food is excellent. Their burger is one of the best around and the swordfish salad is deliciious.
It's also a fun and classy atmosphere with good service.
Needless to say, a big step up from the Finagle-a-Bagel that used to be in this space!response / report this review -

This is a very nice restaurant, I always have a good time when I go here. The servers are great and it has a nice atmosphere for smaller or larger groups. But the food is just OK. I've tried the pot pie, burgers, crab cakes, duck, and meat platters.

My experience here would be best reflected by 2.5 stars. Although the ambiance and the majority of the food was good, our service left a lot to be desired. After asking for no pork on either of the dishes we ordered, both came with hefty amounts of bacon. Our appetizer never arrived and the drinks we ordered took quite some time. Additionally, the poached eggs on my dish were under cooked (I like my eggs runny and am ok when there is some uncooked whites, but this went over the line). The waiter meant well and everything besides the eggs was great, but it is unlikely I'll come back for some time after this experience.

The wait was about an hour, which I am usually a brat about. That being said, it was worth it.
The atmosphere some how parred a lively bar scene with a quiet modern and sharp restaurant. Somehow the product was a busy, full, and quiet restaurant that kept a very upbeat vibe without becoming overwhelming at any point.
Our waitress was incredibly patient with our many questions, and was always available for orders and refills.
Overall, the food was meh to me. Not really worth the price, but far from disappointing. My 3 other friends loved their dishes and were very pleased.response / report this review -

Russell House has become a go-to for me whenever I’m in Cambridge. Deftly executed, slightly elevated comfort food at what are actually (and I️ hesitate to let the secret out) VERY reasonable prices. Creative cocktails, fresh raw bar, good beer list, and a house burger (Tip: substitute a salad for the fries or they’ll even split it half and half of you don’t feel like being all the way healthy). And they are open late!

Hosts are mean person, even to girls. And if you didn’t dress well, they will try so hard to push you to worst seating area or lie to you, while the restaurant is not fully seated.
What happened is, me and my colleague went to this place, right after work, we didn’t dressed up. On the first floor, the girl was trying to sell us the outside seats, but my colleague is a girl, she felt cold outside, so we told her we wanna wait for indoor. Then the host suggested us to go downstairs to put our name down on the list, and also mentioned it should be 5-10 minutes waiting. Then we went downstairs, the guy downstairs checked us from head to toe, then we were like we have been told to put our name down, then he was like if you wanna try upstairs you may have a chance for a indoor sitting. Then we said the girl host upstairs told us it should be 5-10 minutes wait, the he was like, it will be 15 to 20 minutes, he tried so hard to avoid putting our name down, simply just don’t get it, we were willing to wait, and then we were like we wanted to wait, can you just put our name down, then the funniest moment happened, he was trying again by changing the time of waiting, said it is actually 30 to 45 minutes waiting, and then he was like randomly pretending to click some keys on his iPad while looking us and saying you are all set, he actually didn’t even try to put our name down, swear to god ! That was so funny, he was faking typing so obviously. I️ was like cracked, but then we ended up sitting at the bar, it was great, food was great, bartender was great, we enjoyed. We just didn’t understand why they was trying so hard to sell us on the bad sittings, and being so mean to girls.
5 minutes later, they came to us, said there was a seating next to window is open, while the whole restaurant had tons of tables around until we finished our meal at the bar.
They were mean to a girl and to normal office people, who got out of work just wanna enjoy Friday. They were being inconsiderate in an unnecessary way. Everyone was polite all the time, no conflicts at all, just don’t get it why that guy host has to be mean to other people. And my colleague is white and I️ am Asian just to list the facts and gave you a little reference. So please avoid talking to the guy host downstairs, he is not a good person, who would just assume how much money you will spend based on your dressing. The worst!response / report this review -

Brunch here is very nice. Had steak and eggs and it was amazing. Their potatoes are also great, house made, not frozen. The ambience of the restaurant is cozy and chilled

We stopped here after spending the day walking the Freedom Trail. The place was much larger than it initially appeared. We shared an order of the Deviled Eggs, which were the standout dish for our visit.
My companion ordered a Tuna Sandwich and I had a Burger. Everything was good just nothing really exceptional.
While the food and service were all good - there was just something missing, which is why I can only give this a four star rating.response / report this review -

Harvard square favorite for students and visitors alike. They serve American food. The service on both occasions was slow, was a bit disappointed. But their cocktail selections are quite innovative and also good beer selection. 11pm - till close, there are $1 oysters, but the oysters are smaller then your eye, so not sure if its really worth it, even if it's a dollar. But great outdoor patio seating, bar and basement area.

Heard a lot about this place so decided to take a roll here. Very friendly staff, food is delicious and great ambience inside compliments it even more. Worth the time and money.

What is the fuss. Okay it's a pretty good restaurant but I did not get why there is such popularity. I had an average salmon dish I could have gotten in any other restaurant cooked okay prepared well but I would not expect anything extraordinary here. There must be something more exciting although I'm not sure what or where it is as I'm just a tourist here like I think most people are

Came here for dinner with a friend. Ambiance was nice (we were seated outside and enjoyed the nice weather) and good food, but slightly poor service. The waiter put in our order without confirming it with us (he had listened in on our conversation and went ahead with it). Unfortunately it wasn't what we had wanted to order, and when we asked he seemed miffed so we went with what had already been put in.
The food itself (leek and mushroom pizza) was delicious, with a nice thin crust and flavorful toppings. My past visits to RHT have been great experiences, so this is most likely just an outlier, and I would recommend dropping by for either after-work/class dinner and drinks.response / report this review -

When you are still recovering from a wild Friday night, nothing hits the spot better than casual brunch with a close friend - especially when it includes breakfast pizza.
Four slices of crispy thin crust, topped with plenty of cheese, bacon, and a perfectly poached egg. Amazing!
Here are my 3 steps to perfectly enjoying your breakfast pizza:
1. Pick a slice, any slice.
2. Puncture the yellow carefully, so that yolk spills out in a gentle stream of creamy goodness.
3. Spread the yolk across the slice.
