Pretty fun brewery to go to. They have good food and most of the beers they make available at any time. There are also some other beers available. We went late one night and the place was fairly quiet which was nice. It also within walking distance to lamplighter brewing Co which is worth checking out

Nice space with frequent and convenient service. They have their own beer which is cool. Burger was good but left me wanting

The place looks like a dive, from the outside, but the food is delicious, it has one of the best, if not the best, curated beer lists of any bar I know. I always recommend this as a 'must visit' for anyone interested in beer that comes to the Boston area. Don't underestimate the mac 'n' cheese, it may be my favorite thing on the menu.

Nice unpretentious bar with a hood beer selection, creative cocktail menu and a solid food program. The place has a laid-back punk rock vibe. The polenta fries are a revelation. The beer selection is a mix of their own brews and other breweries. They have periodic tap themes like Portland vs Portland.

I was on a mission to find extra dark beers. This place has the best dark beers I found anywhere in Boston, and I was pleasantly surprised to also find food that was exemplary. Every dish we got was amazing. Really solid little place. Great place to hang with friends. Great place to take a date.

This bar is typically famous for the wide selection of beer. Now, Lord Hobo also produces and retails its own beer (Lord Hobo Brewing Company). Not many of you might know that this bar has a great restaurant, run by a fabulous, creative chef. Aside from the menu (which is updated seasonally), there is always a list of daily fresh items. Ask for desserts as they usually offer some delicious and decadent options. My favorite was the "beer panna cotta"! I hope it will soon be back on their menu.
Lastly: this venue offers one of the best brunches of the Cambridge area!!
Avoid coming on Thursdays if you dislike crowded environments.
Wonderful staff and friendly, expert cocktail creators!!!

Drinks here are pretty good and it can get a bit packed. The service could be better. One of the bartenders seemed to have an attitude about servicing me and didn't even speak once. He would just shake/nod his head when I attempted to talk to him. Food was decent, could be better I had the hobo burger. It was just too oily and fell apart.

Even though staff look like their at a perennial heavy metal concert, they are kind and accommodating. And even though the beer list is good, I would like to new England offerings. Good food at Cambridge prices. Lord hobo beers are better than most but not great.

Great draft selection and interesting food combinations. We had some squash appetizer and rabbit pot pie. Outstanding.

Focusing on the "secret burger" Lord Hobo offers is relative to the restaurant as a whole. You walk up to the door on the corner of a building in Cambridge that kind of looks like it's open for business, you're not really sure what you're getting into because there aren't really clear-view windows. What you get inside is a bar with great selection of micro brews, a small but pleasing brunch/pub menu and bar staff that gets pretty excited when you commit to the secret burger without asking too many questions they won't answer (unless you have allergies). Good laid back vibe and a great background music.

Great vibe, great selection! They were doing a micro brew event for Melvin when I went, the only bar east of the Mississippi so they're clearly on it with current events in the beer world. They even had a few great cider options for gluten free people.

My favorite bar in Cambridge. It's swanky and upscale but still feels local and charming. Another Cambridge classic institution with the best beer list in Massachusetts. Their head chef is also fantastic and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable.
In the evening it gets a little loud for one-on-one conversations but remains a wonderful place for groups. Totally recommend.
