Great experience each time I stop in to purchase bee equipment and supplies .The staff is always very helpful and friendly.
Great place. Lots of great people there!
I am certain an experienced beekeeper will do well, but for someone getting started, I would recommend going elsewhere. I had called and been assured that if I drove to their 'store' a knowledgable bee person would help me select the right supplies for me. No. I was asked what I wanted from the catalog. Period. A customer came in who had also done business over the phone and was to pick up 2 assembled hive boxes. He was treated very rudely by one of the ladies in the office and spoken of even more harshly after he left. I did get supplies but hope to not have to go back again.
30 years with Rossman Cypress hives. I paint mine with semi-gloss clear spar varnish, preserves well and really shows off how beautiful the wood really is. I have All of my original hives plus many, many more over the years. Whenever the varnish wears out I sand them down to bare wood and repaint. So far I have refinished the first decade of hives.and the rest look fine.
I just wanted to take a minute and write this review. First off the package of bees I ordered where at my house 2 days early.. which for most people is good, but I had to leave work early(since I was not warned they were going to be here early) just find out that half of my 3lb honey bee package was dead. I know that this could have happened through shipping, but then I get on the phone with the people and tell them what happened, and they were the rudest people ever.. I understand I didn't purchase the insurance, but PLEASE don't be rude to your customer!!! So sadly y'all lost a customer and I advise others not to buy from y'all either.
