Retro Contemporary. Cozy cabins, 5 minutes walk to the beach.

This place is very pleasant, peaceful, & cleanit is a very short walk through the asilomar grounds to a beautiful beach! I must say i have been all over monterey and surrounding areas, and this beach takes the gold!! The front desk staff were amazing, super helpful, and very pleasant! I only knocked off a star because the breakfast is not very good and when i turned on the jacuzzi tub hair came out of the jets (i was a little grossed out but not enough to deter me from my bath)will definitely be coming back!

Great hotel for the price. Huge , clean room. King size bed, jacuzzi big enough for two and a fireplace. Great value!

Don't stay here!!! They overbooked their rooms and after a long day of travel we were left without a place to stay. I had even secured a room with a 300 pre-auth. When we arrived the front desk wouldn't help us find an alternative hotel and was very rude. We asked if they could recommend somewhere close she said there was nothing. I was assured that my credit card wouldn't be charged. But this was untrue, and I was charged for the full amount!! I now am fighting to get a refund. Stay somewhere else

Beautiful place to stay right on the beach. It's like a mini apartment with a huge spa tub. Everything is in walking distance. Gorgeous views right behind the place. You can here the ocean waves from the bedroom window.

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired and the AAA star rating belies how tired the facilities are. I would strongly suggest staying at the Asilomar Conference Center (the name doesn't give it justice to the ambiance) and is much more reasonably priced, and has food facilities on the location. In addition, the Pacific Garden Inn is a much better option. Our room had peeling wall paper, cob webs, torn carpet down to the bare floor, and generally unkempt facilities. In addition, the outdoor furniture is not clean (covered in mildew), so you can't even enjoy the outdoor beauty of the area.

I loved this place! Cute and quaint grounds and the room was awesome! Very clean and spacious with a kitchenette and a living room. Also the location was perfect, about a 5-10 min walk to Asilomar beach which was beautiful! Would definitely stay here again!

The rooms were slightly dated and the beds were firm. The breakfast was lacking. Also the bread in the breakfast bar had mold on it.

The rooms are spacious and the jacuzzi was a special bonus. Wifi worked well. However, I didn't like the attitude when I asked about vegan options - they "checked" but then could not tell me what was vegan and advised me to make my own arrangements for breakfast, along with my vegan mom and cousin. I guess I expected better customer service and if not that, then at least a more caring attitude. Not sure I will come back here

2 1/2 star cottage style hotel. Large room with all amenities-wifi-flat screen-decent breakfast. Can use a little more updating in bathroom area. Clean for the most part. Carpet can use a good cleaning though. Also can use some traction strips outside in front door area as tile gets really slippery when wet. Quiet location and good price.
