The people that run this place try and pay an extra fee per person when you already initially booked it for two. They love to pound on your door two hours before check out.
Well, let's start off with the good
Water pressure was incredible in the shower. I turned up the hot water and it was HOT. Nice job.
Very cheap
Okay, now the bad
A non smoking room smelled like straight cigarettes immediately upon arrival.
The TV is absolutely horrendous. Stick to your smartphones folks.
The fridge didn't work and there was holes all over the room, electrical sockets about to fall out of walls
99 percent sure the fire alarms didn't work. No blinking lights on them at all.
Small patches and evidence of black mold.
Our last night we heard a water trickling sound coming from the bathroom. Upon further investigation, we discovered that water was trickling from the ceiling. Once management was notified. They blamed it on our upstairs neighbor filling their bath with too much water??? They didn't even supply the plugs for the bath, so we have no idea how they took a bath. Mind you this was 3 in the morning. Who knows!
Pulled into the parking lot, while I was checking 3 cops surrounded my truck. Sat there for a few minutes but was gone when I came out. Apparently $70k truck with some amish guys are suspicious & we need to intimate them. These cowards are lucky I didn't see them.
Dirty room. They have completely given up on their business and reputation (if they have one at all). The woman at the desk appeared quite miserable and was unfriendly to say the least. The bed was ok, however I was not thrilled about sleeping in it after I found what appeared to be pubic hair in between the sheets. Would not recommend.
My partner booked through hotels.com, $450/week for while they and our child were getting outpatient services at a nearby hospital while we were also moving, new house isn't ready yet. Tons of issues with the hotel, but the biggest was no clean sheets. We asked for clean sheets upon arrival because they were dirty. We were told to use our own. Asked about a refund, we were told no. Asked again for clean sheets in the morning and then the next night, both times were told that only housekeeping had them. They said that housekeeping had tried to come in when nobody ever came or knocked. I contacted hotels.com and they said that the location had offered us a refund, which was a lie, and that we refused housekeeping, also a lie. Otherwise, hotel is located next to a train track, it's horribly loud. Hotel is understaffed. Staff seem to be asleep in another area behind the desk most of the time, probably in their own room and not even staffing the desk. Blankets are ripped and have holes. TV doesn't work. Bugs everywhere. Trucks honking at night. People yelling outside. Staff are unprofessional and dishonest. Staff also gave us dirty looks in the parking lot and they were rude. I've worked at other Rodeway locations and this is far below brand standards. Will never be returning after this, wish I was actually offered a refund because I would have taken it.
