Went after work around 1am on a Wednesday. The bartender was great but the beer lacked taste. The October fest tasted like Coors light, so on the second round of beers , I decided to order a Coors light. No point on paying more for a beer.
We also ordered Nachos with meat and it was a disaster. The cheese and the meat were cold but the chef/cook still sent it out. The chef/cook did not even care what he/she was sending out. He/she does not have any standards for food and obviously does not care.
One of the worst experiences! The quality of food and drinks are not the same as before. It could have been because it was late, but a good establishment, no matter what time of the day/night, will always have good quality. Definetely not the same Rockys that I knew.response / report this review -

Great place to have a drink and food late night. Open till 4am. The staff if friendly and gives great customer service.

As this establishment changed noticeably over the years, I needed to update my review. I always enjoyed Rocky V's but I must admit it did used to be more than a little bit dumpy. It's all right because the place was (circa 2012) renovated, redecorated, all cleaned up, and made good as new! The management have been keeping it nice and clean. The food is still good though, well as far as I can tell Drinks are still reasonably nice. Of course the best part is, many of the waitresses are BABES! More recently, they have added casino machines and they have been transitioning into a (part-time) Latin club. The good news, if you're in that part of the 'burbs and have nothing better to do, you might find some smokin' hot Latinas Then again, they charge cover some nights, which is freaking ridiculous! I mean come on! I like this place, but it's a dive bar, always was. It became LESS of a sh!thole in early 2012, and over subsequent years with further improvements. However, a dive bar in a town as ghetto as Prospect Heights is a far cry from a fancy nightclub.

OMGwent to Rocky's w/ my work team and they were setting up and played an awesome dance mix of Metallica..but then it was all Latin music: merenque, pop, salsa, reggaton, slow, fast, I loved it! I wanted to dance more solo since it was my first time dancjnv w a partner to this music but all a person needs to do is get down the 2 step to the beat then you can incorporate your own moves here and there. Very sexy Latin men and women for that matter. I'd go back in a second but moving to KS this week. I'm gonna find a similar dance venue down there so when I come here to visit I'll be able to dance all night long. 😊 (PS. I was told they alternate weekends of English pop dance then Latin music next weekend) j recommend highly😃

Releveled the pool tables myself because they were bad. Sadly the place always seems dead. It is a great looking bar and staff is always friendly. Hopefully it keeps getting better.

Love this place. awesome food especially new menu. Still has old favs (wings)😃 Karaoke on thur. Old school Fri. It's football season . come watch on projector screens!!!!

This place is horrible and i ordered chicken wings on the phone 20 minutes before i got there but i ended up waiting another 40 minutes at the restaurant. Chicken wings are so so but bad service.

Nothing fancy. Just another place to have a drink. It Did have live music when we were there, but nothing amazing, the guy just pressed play on a boom box and that's it. The music wasn't even that good either.

I liked the old floor plan better with the pool table in the back and the dance floor and DJ booth in the room up front. But I see why they've changed it up and added video gaming. All in all a nice place with a typical bar menu that serves pretty good food. They have drink specials on certain nights. The house special Vander Slammer is a force, it will make a mess of even the strongest.

Best bar I have been to. Haven't been here in a while due to work obligations. But George is a awesome owner. Ask for Rodrigo or Kelly, they make some mean good strong drinks. And they have the best steak sandwich I have had in a very long time. Highly recommend, will be back there soon.
