BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE HANDS DOWN!
As a new/beginning photographer for myself and my wife they were/are very helpful, knowledgeable, and more about customer service rather than trying to up-sell you. It was a 3 hour drive for us, and WELL WORTH IT!

Very pleased with the purchase we made for our grandson. Anxious to see how he likes his Christmas gift. While we picking up his gift, my husband purchased a used lens he had been thinking about buying. He also had his sensor cleaned on his camera while we waited. Very pleasant experience.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I would highly recommend this store.

Roberts is an amazing store. I’m partial to the used side, as everyone over there is super friendly and helpful. Emery, Jesse, Hector, and Jake are all very knowledgeable about film and digital photography. They know the gear quite well and they’re always willing to help. Their prices are beyond reasonable and usually better than what you’ll find online.

The owner is an awesome person and goes above and beyond to make people feel comfortable.

Always a good place to go for camera equipment. The staff is unfailingly helpful and knowledgeable, they've got a great selection of merchandise, and the prices are good. Parking can be a pain in the neck, unless there's a hidden parking lot somewhere that I haven't found yet. That aside, I've always been very satisfied with my experiences at Roberts.

I sold a lens to Roberts Camera from a couple states away and they were incredibly helpful! They were always very nice over the phone and were understanding when I had to wait awhile to actually ship the lens to them. On top of all that they gave the best price for my equipment, even over big name companies. I absolutely recommend this store and I will definitely be buying and selling with them in the future.

I have found the Roberts Staff to be super friendly and highly knowledgeable. Very good selection of new and used cameras and equipment. They also offer classes on many subjects for beginners. Equipment rentals are on the menu as well.

Full selection of cameras. So much more than any other place that sells cameras in the mid west. It's like our own b and h or andorama. It's like shopping at Amazon but with the added benefit of taking to experts in person and feeling all the different cameras.

Went to pick up two items that were about $100 total. They provided great service. Will be going here for all my digital camera needs. If I ever shop online again for camera gear, it will be on their web site. Competitive prices and great service.

This is a great place to get photo equipment! The staff are helpful, and the selection is good. However, be prepared to pay top dollar (only reason I give it 4 instead of 5). It isn't cheap, but if you have the money you can get some really good equipment or direction here.

I love this place. I am from Indy, but I actually heard about Robert's while I was in Southeast Asia. Seriously, even local camera shops in places like Taiwan know about Robert's and say good things.
I decided to check it out when I got back to the US a few weeks ago. I was not disappointed. Everyone I talked to was unbelievably friendly and helpful. I was never pressured to buy anything, I was never spoken to like a "customer", I never got the impression that they were simply "smiling and nodding" when I spoke, but rather that they were actually listening to what I was saying.
I highly recommend Robert's Camera.

I am an aspiring photographer who happened to be in the Indianapolis area for a concert. Naturally I looked to see if there was a camera store nearby and discovered Roberts Camera. Walking into the store I was pleased by the selection of products, however most didn't fit my budget. Instead I decided to check out the used section, where the first person I encountered was an employee named Tim. He asked what I was looking for and was happy to answer any questions I had. When trying out different lenses further questions arose, and that's when I ended up dealing with KC. I found him extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was very patient with my many questions and offered great advice. The outstanding part was, as an aspiring photographer not only did he offer me technical advice but also overall advice about photography as a career. I found both very informative and appreciated the wonderful customer service he displayed. I am very happy with Roberts and will come back again.

Just left Roberts. Young guy about 24 was helping me. I needed a bulb for a shoot. He couldn't find the bulb I called in for. He asked a more knowledgeable worker to help, (guy with his hair in a pony tail). He offered to help and then another woman comes in and he abruptly leaves both the younger worker and myself. Add to that someone was already helping her at the end of the counter. Younger worker says, "Ma'am Im sorry, I don't know why he did that. Same guy, same service and same rudeness. As we were leaving my daughter asked about videography classes, lady at the door proclaims in a loud voice, there is plenty of "free" courses for you! Everyone in store turns around. We didn't inquire about the price. Crappy customer service. I will just buy online now.

Great selection of cameras and knowledgable staff. Would be great if they had a few more options for functioning demo items for the newer video systems so people can try them out.
