It was good, but it didn't live up to the hype that everyone raved about. The locals tell me that this place has really good ice cream. Overall, I was not impressed, but I think it's the venue that people like; it is family place that I assume people have memories of little league games and birthday parties at.
They have a lot of ice cream Also I really liked all the nice outdoor seating that is available. We had taken our young dog and enjoyed our ice cream outside. Lovely environment.
Watered down, over-priced ice-cream. Force customers to use ATM with high fees, will not take debit cards.
The location and seating are awesome and I love coming to the car shows in the spacious parking lot.
I don't know what is with the ice-cream but it tastes like they watered it down and re-froze it and sold it. I've been here many times over the years, with my friends and family and the experience has been the same.
LePaige's allows debit card transactions, other small-time gas stations allow debit cards, not this guy though. Very convenient to force customers to use their ATM to get cash, and pay the ATM fees on top. Any business that wants to take money at the counter needs to take into account the customer's needs. That's how business works.
Also, make some big, clear menus, the random pieces of paper plastered all over the windows are confusing.
Walk up service. Great icecream. No access to bathrooms. Seasonal operation.
They have the best soft serve ice cream around. Lots of flavors and cone/dish options. They have soft serve frozen yogurt as wellthere always seems to be new flavors. Definitely worth the drive to Latham.
They are cash only, so bring cash with you. There is an ATM on site, but the fee is pretty high.
Love this place usually packed. Car shows, world's largest roller rink in Guinness book of records. The even have a stage with two antique cars on it. A back party room for kids and disco for kids. Just a great over all family place
I don't care what any survey says. This place has the best soft ice cream in the Capitol Region periodand it seams like no matter how busy they are, there is always an open window to serve you! My family and I drive 20 miles and pass atleast 3 other known shops along the way
Great ice cream but a little pricey for soft ice cream. Great and fast service even though they were very busy. Plenty of parking and in an convenient and easily accessible location. Rt 9 just above Latham NY.
One of the best ice cream shops in the Capital Region! Awesome selection of hard and soft ice cream with tons of options for sundaes, milkshakes and non-dairy choices! YA GOTTA GO
It's only a few hours before the biggest snowfall of the year. The temperature outside is frigid. Yet there are several customers lined up to get their favorite ice cream treat, and I'm one of them! A testimony to how good Guptill's ice cream is.
Great ice cream that is homemade. Might be a little bit on the pricey side but order a medium sized or you could probably feed two
What a real treat! There's a good reason why this place is so busy. Whether it's a hot summer day or a rainy fall day, Guptil's Ice Cream is going to be the cherry on top. We tried the Apple Pie ice cream with a Cider Donut on top. Unbelievable! I've never had ice cream like this anywhere else before.
This place made my move upstate much more bearable. Gigantic portions (medium is 4 scoops!) super fast service, and a great laid back atmosphere make this a regular stop for me every time I'm around the area. My only wish is that they had a sink outside to wash the inevitable drips during the summer.
