We came for honeymoon. & took suites to stay. It’s beautiful. Located in 3rd floor but bedroom has not a romantic feeling, it seems like negativity. Too much dark painted with dark blue & chocolate color. It makes room more dark even in the morning. It feels suffocated. They have a dark color curtains which really doesn’t go for the room. Rest of the room is good , restroom is comfortable.
Location is a block away from the beach. On a nice, quiet Street which is currently under construction (Dec '17). Rooms are nice and have a large shower. Free mixed drinks from 7-8pm at the hotel bar was nice (vodka cranberry, tequila sunrise, gin & tonic we're our options.) Only complaint is that when you initially step into the room, it smells musty, but you get used to it almost immediately. We think it is the air conditioning. Otherwise, great service and we would come back again.
I had a sub-par experience here during my South Beach stay with a few major concerns. The good takeaways was the great location and friendly bar staff. The boutique style hotel has a lot of upside if the ownership paid more attention to detail. My hotel concerns were centered around the lack of quality as it pertains to my room. Entertainment was limited and the condition of our suites furniture was bad. Our television did not have functional cable (MAYBE 8 working LOCAL channels,) and unfortunately the staff kept creating new reasons to justify the lack of cable access (although cable is mentioned on all their digital marketing). After various false excuses to justify, they just told us we had to go to the bar to watch CABLE channels. In addition, we did not receive a comforter for our room and the couches in our suites were discolored and appeared as if they had been chewed on and not updated in years. (Images Listed) The icing on the cake was that the "general manager" claimed he would work with us to remedy some of our concerns but that to was a lie.
Pros: Beautiful place, nice decor. The Cuban Restaurant is very nice. Food was delicious. Rooms were clean. Customer Service was fine. Cons: This is my opinion but it was a little too far from the action of South Beach. Everything is about 5 blocks away. Not too far but just outside of convenient.
Stayed there 4 nights. Room was decent size, hotel is in great shape, clean and well maintained. Location is amazing: 1 block from Collins ave, 2 blocks from the beach. Rooftop pool area is really nice. Staff was friendly and helpful, shot out to Pedro and Amaury at the front desk for being so accommodating. Was a little scared at first after reading some of the reviews complaining about noise and the condition of the room, but that was definitely not my case. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. They have complimentary coffee and free shuttle to and from Miami airport.
My friend and I took another friend here for her birthday. This place was just awesome! Reasonably priced and in the heart of all the action. We loved that there is a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport and that the hotel is located right by the beach. Food and drinks downstairs were pricey, but the 7-8 pm happy hour on drinks was all we even needed to keep us satisfied!
Staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. Overall an awesome place to stay with a great vibe. Can't wait to go back!
Great hotel in a great location. Art Deco style boutique hotel unique to Miami. Close to the beach. Highly recommended. Great for value. Free happy hour during 7-8pm as well!
We stayed at the Rivera Hotel in August 2017. Great location, walking distance from Collins and Ocean Drive. We had the ideal room on the newer side of the hotel. It had a balcony which added a nice touch, and was perfect for my family and I. Mark, Duty Manager, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. He's truly a professional, I give 5 stars. Frederick and Arismendi were also very helpful. We took full advantage of the happy hour from 7-8 daily, free to all guest. Over all, it was a wonderful experience. We will definitely visit again.
I would avoid this hotel. The rooms are small, and it was not as clean as expected. It's very noisy. There is no parking and the valet charge is really expensive over $40 per night. It takes them about 20 minutes to get the car whenever you need it. Additionally, I was cleared for check-out with no fees, but after my departure I was charged for an item from the mini-bar that I definitely didn't take. It was really hard to get hold of anyone from the hotel on the phone, and when I did they were rude and dismissive and insisted that I had to pay the fee for an item I had not used. But they wouldn't even send me a receipt for the item I'd allegedly taken. Looking though the reviews it is clear I am not the only one who has had this experience, so it seems like this is a systematic problem. Don't stay here.
The hotel is marketed as a 4 star hotel, really the current state of affairs is more in alignment with a 3 star. We had major issues getting in touch with the front desk on multiple occasions, had some cleanliness issues in the room, there were no full body mirrors to see how your outfit looked, the rooms and interior spaces of the hotel were in need of some maintenance like paint and improved lighting, the room had very poor lighting as well. On the positive, the included amenities were nice, complimentary drinks from 7 to 8, complimentary beach chairs and towels, also I like the complimentary espresso machines, nice pool and gym areas and when you did interact with staff they were all friendly and helpful.
I am currently staying at the Riviera for 3 nights. So far so good. The decor in the lobby especially the white leather chairs need to be replaced. The lobby is small. The hotel actually has 3 buildings. I am staying in the 3rd building with the roof top pool. The pool water is cloudy. I don't know what's that about but nice beach beads surrounding the pool. The shuttle service works great! The happy hour was sad they only offer white liquor(that's all they served). The room balcony is nice but our room is very very small! Fit for 1 person or a couple. Clean hotel and nice live music at the hotel restaurant. I did get asked by some guys(at the hotel) if I wanted to buy some weed(I declined, because I don't smoke)! The beach is just a couple blocks away, which was awesome. Great location close to Collins Ave but far enough from the hustle of South Beach.
the room was a bit small but nice and clean. It's located in a high traffic party area so quiet time was non existent. The "gym" was located in another building across the street upstairs which I found rather weird but the 7-8 happy hour with free drinks was quite the welcome
I've stayed here three times and I've never had any issues. Staff is professional and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The rooftop pool is amazing, with nice views of the city. Moreno's, the restaurant in the middle, has great food and drinks. They have live music as well.
I love the fun and friendly atmosphere of Riviera. I have always been very comfortable there. The area is nice and the hotel is just a short walk to the beach. The airport shuttle is a plus.
This is a cool place to stay. We visited Miami Beach in December 2016 and stayed here for three nights. The building is stretched out between a new construction four story tower and a renovated Art Deco building across the street. They have created a very cool and unique theme. Free drinks during their nightly happy hour was cool. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend driving your car to the paid parking lot half a block away and saving yourself the valet fee. The staff there was friendly too. I hope to visit again someday, thanks!
