The cabins are pretty nice. We stayed in a cabin #4, its right by the big sur river away from the traffic noise on PCH1. The cabin was nice too. We stayed for one night thought they don't take reservations for one night and we also realized that you need atlas 2 days to enjoy it. The cabin from inside was nice, hot showers, a kitchenette, utensils. Though I didn't use a lot of utensils, I just didn't like the fact that you have to wash your dishes otherwise they charge you $25 extra, it kinda felt like an Airbnb thing. That is the reason why Im giving it one star less. Otherwise everything was great. They provide you the wood so you can feel warm during winters. I would love to stay there again.

2 stars for the nice cabin on the lake. Zero stars for how freezing it is inside. (The heater there does absolutely nothing for heating the space, and the lack of insulation doesn't help) And for how dirty the sheets were. and who charges $25 for the maid washing the dishes? Lol ow and there is no internet / Wi-Fi and absolutely no signal.

Old wooden cabins but clean. If you take one of the riverside cabins, be aware that there is a narrow, steep (about 10% grade) one lane road down to them with no room for passing. You cannot see the end of the road from the top. If you start down and meet a car heading up, you are supposed to back up over a hundred feet around a curve to the top, which is particularly difficult with a manual transmission. We suggested that they install signal lights at either end of the road so that you would know when another car is coming, but haven't received a reply to that idea.

Wonderful getaway spot if you want to relax and enjoy nature you can do that here and the restaurant serves delicious food! Highly recommend this place!!!

Breakfast at the cafe restaurant was one of the best breakfasts I've had. Super friendly staff as well. Would come back here when I'm in CA.

Small, spacious cabins with moderate amenities. Not super clean on the inside, but plenty adequate for camping. Small grocery store on grounds with plenty of helpful good for hiking, and the free bundle of firewood was a nice touch! Not super fancy, but I had a great time. No internet, cell service, or tv in cabins, so be prepared to talk to each other.

Best food in town! Clean friendly fresh environment. Don't miss it. Outdoor dining, clean restrooms, general store with all the necessities. A MUST STOP on Highway 1!!!

We only ate breakfast here while we stayed at the campsite down the road and it was seriously one of the best meals I've ever had! The eggs were cooked perfectly, the hash browns were crispy all the way through, and the blueberry muffins were soft and delicious!

Also, the free Wi-Fi was cool.

Definitely worth a stop while you're here.

Beautiful spot. There is a library there as well, it was closed when I stopped there but the atmosphere is just beautiful. Lush green landscape. Gas is expensive but this is what you get at these stations.
