We were charged a gratuity fee of $9 for TWO people. I understand the fee for larger groups, but $9? That was about 25% of the cost of the whole bill. And I would have more happily paid this gratuity fee had there been better service. We waited for 1 and a half hours for our two meals, and the waitress forgot to give us bread, which is provided for everyone. So bad service-$9 gratuity-just no.response / report this review -

I had made reservation a week in advance and also updated the number of people arriving on the morning of the reservation. I had requested that the tables be placed in a manner that all of the people would be able to hold conversations among each other. I was told this was possible and would be taken care of. Upon arriving, it appeared no one was prepared for our group of 16 BUSINESS women. No tables, wait staff had no clue we were coming, Hostess acted put out by us. We finally decided for ourselves that we would sit outside since it was made very clear we were disrupting the 3 tables inside with trying to get what we had requested. Then, the ordering.orders were taken haphazardly, incorrectly delivered, several were undercooked. For an 18% gratuity, I would expect to have someone circulating through our tables most of the time with ice water, iced tea etc. Several times, it felt like one table was being ignored for the other. One person did not receive her order until we were actually receiving our bills! To say the least, this group of women, who were scoping out a place to bring clients, did not decide in favor of Ric's.

I came here because of a gift certificate. It took about 10min for the waitress to take our drink orders, at which time we also just ordered the entrees. The bread rolls were brought out right after, and were soft and tasty. The glasses of wine were quite full (great!) and ended up having a happy hour price (unknown to us at the time). We both ordered the 1lb of king crab legs, which also came with steamed veggies and rice. We received a generous portion of crab legs (2 full ones and one with the claw) with butter sauce. They were pre-sliced (easy to open) and were pretty good. The veggies were just fine, and the rice was pretty decent, resembling a mix between brown rice and stuffing. Overall, for a price of $23 this was a great deal. The wine ended up being $4 and $6, 25% off original prices. We ate inside because of the outside heat, and the ambiance was decent for a more upscale place. Pretty dead on a Tues, what do you expect though. Nothing much to complain about here, except for the initial delay to get our drinks. I'd go back, especially for those king crab legs and cheap good wine!

We had a $10 coupon and had heard good things about the place. But indifferent hostess, achingly slooow service and bland food for much too high a price. Nice outdoor patio but forced to dine indoors because patio was packed. The 60's & 70's standards played by a solo musician were hardly the live weekend jazz that Ric's advertised. Have little incentive to return there given the overall experience.

I was hoping to add to my list of local restaurants to enjoy dinner. But this will not be one of them. Service was slow the dinners were over cooked service un-attentive. I had the pork tenderloin, the chuoitle sauce was great. but the cooking was poor and over done. The portions were two quarter portions of a tenderloin. Being so small the meat could not be anything but over cooked. The starch was a scoop of mashed potatoes and the side was over steamed vegetables. The place reminded me of being back in the 70's.
And why can't I give zero starts that is what it deservesresponse / report this review
