Visited during high school spring break week. It's crowded, but enjoyable. I do not like the lack of available beach front space. The paid beach set ups take up all the gulf front, so that if you bring your own chairs, you are not allowed to place them by the water, or in front of the paid set ups at all. I did pay for a beach set up and was 3 rows back, could hardly see the water at all. Our unit needs black out curtains in the bedroom by the corridor as the lights are on all night. Walls are thin, voices, chair movements etc. All carry through the floors and walls. The beach is pretty. Pools are heated and ok. Front desk service is very good, very friendly and helpful. Unit is very clean.

We have just returned from staying at Pelican Beach. We did not have any issues with the resort itself, but our main reason in staying there was to be on the beach, which is beautiful. We paid about $1700 for 1 week, but the cost for the 5 of us to rent beach chairs and an umbrella would have been an additional $500 for the week. The issue that I have with this is that very early in the morning, the beach service, La Dulce Vita, sets up the chairs and a large umbrella in 2-3 rows at the very front of the beach, which of course then blocks your view of the ocean. They put up multiple signs, stating that no private set-ups are allowed beyond those signs. Also all adults and children are required to wear wrist bands with the name Pelican Beach on them (and there is a $25 fee if you lose your wrist band), which prevents you from setting up anywhere else. You are stuck in a roped off area. We did not find any other resort in which there was such a heavy layer of chairs right on the beach. Yes, there were chairs at other resorts, but never more than 1 row (and sometimes not even right on the ocean) and just to the left there was a wide open space where you could actually set up your own chairs on the ocean (for free!). And extra frustrating is that each day many of the chairs go unrented! It certainly appeared to us to just be a money-making scheme.

We paid $1700 to stay in a resort on the ocean, but didn't expect to have to pay an additional $500 for the 5 of us to actually sit on the beach and see the ocean.

You get what you pay for. Now don't get me wrong, this place was pleasant. I really feel that for what we paid for the rental of the condo was appropriate for what we had as an experience. It was clean, and had a great view. There was a heated pool for the day we were there and it was chillier. All in all, was a good time. My only disappointment was that there was not a washer/dryer in the condo, but there was one on the floor, so it wasn't a deal breaker. I would come back, very family friendly

Just had the best time here. The weather was a little cool to start but warmed up and I had a great relaxing vacation. Lots of shopping for the cool days and lots of great restaurants for eating out.

Great views. Good parking. The room was alright. We used the laundry services on our floor. Very short and easy walk to the beach! Beautiful family beaching area, no seaweed anywhere around. Elevators are quick! There’s a nice pool and it was even heated because it was a little chilly out. Lovely! There’s even a bar right by the pool where you can get drinks and food! Great place to make wonderful family memories to last a lifetime!

Great condo. This was my first experience renting a condo. Excellent location. The condo was a little dated. But all and all it was a great place to stay. The view was awesome. I'd stay here again in the future.

Room does not have a washer and dryer. Room clean. View great. Noise loud from adjoining rooms. Cafe a joke. Requires a shirt for service when you are coming from the beach. Beach very crowded.

This place is excellent for families. Onsite store/cafe/bar/grills for cooking. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Several pools and large area for just hanging out. Right on the beach. Can get a little crowded during peak times but don't let that stop you.

The condo is right on the beach which is AWESOME! HOWEVERUnit 301 is a bit dated and could use some overall maintenance upkeep. The owner could do better and provide quality cookware as the ones there were old, worn and broken. The first day after dinner we were cleaning and the sprayer from the sink popped off causing water to shoot up and out. We called maintenance who came that night to look at it but it wasn't repaired until the day before we were set to check out. The owner should also remove broken or worn decor or replace it. I know each unit is individually owned because we have stayed in this building before in a much nicer condo. This unit however was more like staying at an overpriced motel. We would not recommend it to anyone in it's current state.

Everything about the Pelican Beach condos was great except for one little detail. The Beach. The beach access was incredibly busy with 5 rows deep of condo owned beach chairs and only then could you put your own umbrella/chair behind that. If you look to either side of the condo beach front you see that the other condo's beside Pelican Beach have at most 1 row deep of beach chairs. To the right side, there was a beach chair every 15 to 20 feet. To the left side, there were beach chairs every 5 feet or so. At Pelican Beach, however, the beach chairs were right beside each other, and like I said earlier, 4 to 5 rows deep. On top of this, the beach chair fee was $32/day or $160/5 days. Also, you start at the back of the rows when reserving and if you don't book in consecutive days you move to the back of the rows. Maybe by the 3rd day you might make it to the front. I don't want to be too hard on Pelican Beach. On some more positive notes, the management staff was friendly, the pool was in good condition and clean, the elevators were plenty fast enough, and there was plenty of parking each day.

We are having a wonderful time at Resorts of Pelican Beach in Destin. A great place for a family vacation. We are right on the beach. It has 2 pools and a hot tub. Restaurant's and shopping within walking distance. Loads of activities for the entire family.

Nice condo!! 😎We stayed 5 days we had a few problems and maintenance fixed it within a hour. Clean condo #1001. Nice people can't wait to go back next year. Didn't like all the mirrors 🤔. Everything was close by condo

Great condo for Beachfront vacation. Unit 110 is awesome! Television through coax isn't the greatest quality, but you're here for the beach. The beaches are beautiful here in Destin.

The resort itself is nice. But if you are hoping for some time on the beach with a view of the ocean and don't reserve umbrellas from the company they use, forget about it. They make it so if you want to use your own chairs and umbrella, you will be forced to the very back.

The staff were rude and not helpful at all. The pools were very small and are shaded by the buildings almost all day. We went the week before Memorial Day weekend and it was packed. Tons of kids and loud drunk parents. There are no real ammenities either. The little "store/restaurant" is only open from 8-3 with an hour break in between so if you need anything between that time then you need to go out for it. The "beach bar" is only open till 3pm as well. The elevators broke everyday at some point. Check in is from 4-6pm and we got there at 3pm. They told us they would get right on cleaning our room. They didn't and we got a call at 5:50 telling us or room was finally ready. We even called at 1pm to tell them that we were arriving earlier than expected. We were told that the people ahead of us had checked out and we could most likely get in before the 4pm check in. When we arrived she said it wasn't ready but would let housekeeping know we were here. Didn't get in til 6pm. Will NEVER go there again. Pictures of the room and views were not true either. We had huge AC units right behind us that ran all the time. You couldn't sit out and enjoy the "ocean view" or even hear anyone talk. The place is somewhat dirty and old.needs major updating. Overall a waste of money. The condos on each side were awesome however. Check those out first!!
